- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Fourth Gen Fighter fly by wire computer stable aircraft with high manoeuverability top speed Mach 2.2 rate of climb vertical and accelerating. It will kick butt in war but its not for us. UA can run restrictions on components that without them you can't fly (flight control computer for example). Its risky but what a sweet jet. It has several guns air to air radar guided missiles and can carry 14000 lbs of guided or none guided bombs.

You have "your own" fantasy thread for yourself to play around with.

Do we need to see it overflow into this thread which overall is an objective thread.

        .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Seriously. This thread is for news articles and photos from our actual armed forces, and to hear the opinion of a few users who are experts on the subject. Not whether Armenia is about to acquire any F-4s, F-22s, or any robocop terminators.

Their bodies were found in mined area on the opposite side of the contact line

Baku. Agha Jafarli – APA. Two Azerbaijani servicemen, who went missing on June 23, were found dead in mined area on the opposite side of the contact line on June 25, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.

The International Committee of the Red Cross facilitated the search for two Azerbaijani extended servicemen – junior sergeants Musa Musayev and Tural Yolchuyev, who supposedly went missing in a forested mountainous area along the contact line on the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Azerbaijan's Gazakh district.

Their bodies were taken from the mined area.

The most frustrating part of the police is the budget. The budget is half of our military budget. Yet they have almost no police work to do. Why? Because due to cultural norms and taboos, there is practically no crime here, and Armenia is one of the safest countries in the world. That's not meat head nationalism talking, statistically, per capita, Armenia is the in the top 20 or 30 of just about every category of safety.

So what we essentially have is a $250 million dollar armed forces of the Republican Party. It's absolutely frustrating because we are in a constant state of war. And every dollar could be the difference between having a strong enough army to deter another war. Realistically at least $100-150 million of that money could be going to our military budget, and allowing us to purchase some of these weapons that would make war impossible for Azerbaijan.

The Armenian army has expressed readiness to help military authorities in Baku locate and evacuate two Azerbaijani soldiers who reportedly went missing on Azerbaijan’s border with Armenia earlier this week.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that the two sergeants, Musa Musayev and Tural Yolchuyev, may have accidentally strayed into Armenia’s northern Tavush province from the Gazakh district in western Azerbaijan. It said it is investigating precise circumstances of their disappearance.

The Defense Ministry in Yerevan insisted afterwards, however, that no Azerbaijani soldiers crossed the heavily militarized Armenian border in the area.

“I can’t confirm or deny that there was an attempt to cross the border because that is possible and there are such precedents,” the ministry spokesman, Artsrun Hovannisian, told RFE/RL’s Armenian service (Azatutyun.am). “But I can state for certain that we are holding no Azerbaijani servicemen.”

Hovannisian also revealed that the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICCR) told the Armenian military on Tuesday that the soldiers might have been lying dead or wounded in no man’s land and asked it for permission to evacuate their bodies. He said the Armenian side promptly gave security guarantees for such an operation.

According to Hovannisian, ICRRC officials suspect that Musayev and Yolchuyev hit a landmine near Armenian army positions in Tavush. “It may well be that those soldiers tried to flee to Armenia because of being unhappy with something,” added the official.

The ICRC office in Baku confirmed, meanwhile, that the Azerbaijani authorities have asked it help find the soldiers. The APA news agency quoted a spokeswoman for the office as saying that the ICRC is now engaged in “dialogue” with both sides in order to clarify the soldiers’ whereabouts.

In Hovannisian words, the Azerbaijani military launched no search and rescue operations at the Gazakh-Tavush section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani frontier as of Wednesday afternoon.

The ICRC was rebuffed by Baku when it requested safe access to the remains of the three Armenian pilots of a combat helicopter shot down by Azerbaijani forces in no-man’s land east of Nagorno-Karabakh last November. Karabakh Armenian troops recovered them in an overnight commando raid. They claimed to have neutralized an ambush set up by Azerbaijani troops near the helicopter’s wreckage.

The Armenian army has expressed readiness to help military authorities in Baku locate and evacuate two Azerbaijani soldiers who reportedly went missing on Azerbaijan’s border with Armenia earlier this week.

Not really. It simply hilites the fact that there is still a conflict and people are dying because of it. We need to get beyond who looks like the bigger idiot if we are to resolve our issues.

If Mher's statistics are correct , 250 million dollars per year go to the the police when 100 million dollars per year is sufficient , leaving 150 million dollars PER YEAR (!!!) that could be going to our armed forces (then) ... Hs anyone looked at the cost of a mig 29 smt ?
The mig 29 smt with new more powerfull engines that burn clean and a wider upper body aft of the xxxxpit to hold more internal fuel and new glass canopy and new avionics (superior) and new electronics and new air to ground capability as well as air to air and TVN costs approx 50 million dollars apiece.
2 or three of those per year for the last three years and we could have been on our way to having a full squadron of the 4+ generation aircraft !!!!!!
