Minister: Azerbaijan's economy to decline by 2019

The state budget revenues for 2016 are predicted on the level of 25.2% of GDP or AZN 14.566bn.
This is a drop of AZN 4.872bn or 25.1% over the indicator for 2015.
Oxu.Az reports citing Qafqazinfo that the statement came from Finance Minister Samir Sharifov during the discussion of the budget package for 2016.
The minister said that the decline in state budget revenues and spending is caused by the global processes and a sharp decline in oil prices.
He said in this sense the price for an oil barrel is set on the level of $50 per barrel in the budget of 2016.
The minister said that the optimisic option of oil barrel price is on the level of $60 and pessimistic is on $40.
"Thus, Azerbaijan will experience the slowdown in economic growth rates in period from 2016 till 2019," Sharifov said.
