1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Why the Armenian government or Artsakh President do something by sending peacekeepers for Armenians and orgenize their departure from Syria.

Let not anyone expect us to remain silent about violation of our borders - Erdogan

“We had been giving warnings for such an incident not to happen”

Baku. Malahat Najafova - APA. "Let not anyone expect us to remain silent about violation of our borders,” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at the meeting of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) held in Istanbul, APA reported.

Speaking of the downing of a Russian warplane on Tuesday, he reiterated that the Russian warplane had violated Turkish airspace.

One of the planes flied back, while the other went on violating the border. It later became clear that the downed warplane was Russian. The UN and NATO were given necessary information in this regard. They claim to be fighting ISIL there, whereas there is no known ISIL presence in that area. Let no one fool another. We had been giving warnings for such an incident not to happen. And we had informed our neighbor through various channels of our sensitivity. We have always stated our peaceful stance. However, no one should expect us to remain silent about disturbance of our border security. Of course, we have no intention of escalating the incident. We are just defending our security and our brothers. A week ago, people began moving towards our borders from the north of Latakia – the area inhabited by Bayır-Bucak Turkmens. We have begun to receive our compatriots, our relatives, fleeing the heavy bombardment and settle them in camps in Hatay. To prevent further waives of migration into our country, we will continue to take necessary measures and do our part to ensure the Syrian people’s stability and security,” said Erdogan.

Can we expect any sales of special forces weapons?as far as I know we obtained many snipers from Serbia in the past,so transparent that Wikipedia even mentions

Serbia Defense Minister off for official visit to Armenia
A Serbian delegation, headed by Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic will arrive Tuesday, November 24, in Armenia on a two-day official visit, Armenia’s Defense Ministry press office reports.

Diplomatic relations between Armenia and Serbia were established on January 14, 1993. The governments of the two countries signed an agreement on Air Service Cooperation on April 5, 2011, also agreeing on the abolition of visa requirements for the holders of diplomatic passports of both countries.

Happy birthday to the role model hero, without him the outcome of artsakh war would be like fishing in muddy waters, salut to the fallen

“We are in ceasefire, guys, do not shoot”: Today is Armenia National Hero Monte Melkonian's birthday

              11:04, 25 November, 2015
YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 25, ARMENPRESS. If we lose Artsakh, it will be the last page of the History of Armenia. Author of the abovementioned call on vigilance addressed to the Armenian people and those in the battlefield Monte Melkonian would become 57 on November 25.

“Armenpress” reports that Monte Melkonian who was born on November 25, 1957 in the United States of America learnt about his Armenian origins when he was 12. At 15 he travelled to 41 countries of Europe, Africa and the Middle East with parents, as well as visited Western Armenia. Monte entered the University of California, Berkeley aged 20, majoring in ancient Asian history and Archeology. He founded “Armenian Student Union” during university years and organized an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide. He received scholarship for doctoral thesis at the University of Oxford. However, Monte did not leave for Britain; he left for Western Armenia to study rock-cut tombs and dwellings of Vaspurakan. In 1991 Monte came to Armenia and he worked in the National Academy of Sciences for 8 years.

On February 4, 1992 Melkonian arrived in Martuni as the regional commander. Upon his arrival the changes were immediately felt: civilians started feeling more secure and at peace as Azeri armies were pushed back and were finding it increasingly difficult to shell Martuni's residential areas with GRAD missiles.

Monte was killed in the abandoned village of Merzili in the early afternoon of June 12, 1993 during the Battle of Aghdam. According to Markar Melkonian, Monte's older brother and author of his biography, Monte died in the waning hours of the evening by enemy fire during an unexpected skirmish that broke out with several Azerbaijani soldiers who had gotten lost. Monte died in the arms of his closest and most trusted comrade.

Monte Melkonian was posthumously awarded with the titles of the Hero of Armenia and Hero of Artsakh, Order of the Combat Cross of the First Degree of NKR, the order of “Gold Eagle” etc.

One of the memories about Monte is how Monte treated ceasefire and its violation.

“We are in ceasefire, guys, do not shoot,” he used to order the soldiers.

“What if the rival shoots?” “Then blow their doors off,” Monte used to answer.

The adversary violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact
between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces around 40 times,
from Tuesday to early Wednesday morning.

During this time Azerbaijan fired more than 900 shots at the Armenian
military positions, and by way of rifle weaponry.

But vanguard units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army are
in command of the operative situation, and they continue confidently
                      carrying out their military task.
