Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

NKR special forces are equipped with such rifles, and in my personal opinion,i think that the government wouldn't have made such a huge propaganda about aspar arms if it didn't intend on purchasing them

IN MASSACHUSETTS, PRESIDENT SERZH SARGSYAN VISITED THE OLD NORTH CHURCH AND ARMENIAN HERITAGE PARK

          29.03.2016

President Serzh Sargsyan, who is at the United States on a working visit, continues his meetings in Massachusetts with the representatives of the Armenian structures, which enjoy high repute and play a considerable role in this state, community figures, as well as with the representatives of the state authorities which stand out with their activities and promote Armenia and Armenians, and other friends of the Armenian nation.

On March 29, Serzh Sargsyan visited the Old North Church of Boston. A holy liturgy was served with the participation of the vicar of the Church T. Stephen Ayres and Armenian clergy. This Episcopal church was the first that back in 18th century allowed Armenian immigrants arriving to the US to serve liturgy in the church. The Church which was built in 1723 in the northern part of Boston, is the oldest church building in Boston. The visit of the President of Armenia to the Old North Church, which had a significant impact on the American Revolution, is meant to pay tribute to one of the symbols of the American independence and show appreciation toward this church and in general to the Anglican Church for their benevolent attitude toward Armenians.

Later, Serzh Sargsyan visited the Armenian Heritage Park which was created to commemorate the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and other subsequent genocides as well as to glorify the great contribution of the Armenian Americans and other immigrants who settled in Massachusetts and Boston. Accompanied by the former governor of Massachusetts Patrick Deval, who played a great role in the creation of the Park, representatives of the Boston City Hall, Co-chair of the Massachusetts Committee on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide James Galustian, Sheriff of Middlesex county, member of the Executive Committee of the Armenian Heritage Fund, which carried out the construction works of the Park, Peter Koutujian, other members of the Fund and representatives of the Armenian community toured the Park, where the Armenian Heritage Park is located, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, laid a wreath and paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the Genocide. At the conclusion of the tour, President Serzh Sargsyan also paid tribute at the Holocaust Memorial.

The March 29 schedule of the President’s working visit includes also a number of other events.

Out of topic but this could be serious.

Turkey planning to use Crimean Tatars to destabilize Russian forces

Ufuk Olutas, director of foreign policy studies for the SETA Foundation for political, economic and social research, hinted to the possibility of attacking Russian forces in Crimea. In a speech he delivered during a meeting held in mid-February, Olutas said that Turkey’s PM Davutoglu will confer with the leader of Crimean Tatars in Kiev to agree on training Tatar military groups with the aim to carry out hostilities against the Russian Forces. “Our staunch ally, Saudi Arabia, offered to provide all logistic services, training facilities and explosives for Crimean Tatars”, commented Outas, reiterating Turkey’s sturdy alliance with both Saudi Arabia and Qatar on this matter. Last December, Davutoglu met Ukrainian president plenipotentiary representative in Crimean Tatars affairs and Crimean Tatars’ People’s Assembly Chairman, Mustafa Jemilov for the first time after the relations between Russian and Turkey have reached a critical stage following the downing of Russian SU-24 by Turkish fighter jets near the Turkish borders in November 2015.

Yup- I'd love to see the Turks try this one. That would be the end of the Crimean Tatars.

Yerevan airport false bomb alert was received from Azerbaijan operator IP address

YEREVAN. – The Investigative Committee of Armenia is taking measures to determine the identity and motives of the person who had made a false bomb alert on the Yerevan-Moscow plane and at Zvartnots International Airport in capital city Yerevan.

The Committee informed that the false report about a possible terrorism at Zvartnots was sent to the Email address of the airport on March 24, and a criminal case is launched.

Data have been obtained to the effect that the Email address of the sender of this “report” was created by someone who had used the IP address of an Azerbaijani operator, and who had gained Internet access via server of a third country.

Several other actions by this Internet user also have been detected, whereupon this user’s Internet connection via the IP address of a third country has been disconnected.

The given user’s Internet connection via the IP address of a third country has been disconnected…
