1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Komandos: Aliyev heard about Ani’s intention to go to the frontline and signed a truce (video)

    17:39 | April 8,2016 | Politics

A large and versatile game is being played over Nagorno-Karabakh, says Major-General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, a prominent Karabakh war veteran known as Komandos.

“If we ever agree to cede any area, it will mean we allow the enemy to come nearer and kill us easily. This is the ideology of Pan-Turkism and we all know about it,” he said.

Russia announces that Armenia is its strategic ally while Azerbaijan is a strategic partner. “Now you can realize yourselves which of the parties Russia supports.” Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan said.

He is delighted and encouraged to see the readiness of our people, especially when he saw girls willing to go to the frontline.

The Karabakh war veteran known then recalled an incident: after her father had gone to fight on the border Ani came to me and asked me to take her to the frontline. “I called all female representatives and asked them to applaud to Ani. I said Aliyev was scared after hearing about Ani’s decision to go to the Artsakh frontline and hurried to sign a ceasefire agreement with us,” Mr Ter-Tadevosyan said.

Speaking about the sale of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan, Komandos said when clinching a deal with Russia Azerbaijani cheated its strategic partner promising not to use the firearms against Karabakh.

Russia is our strategic partner, but had better not sell weapons to Azerbaijan, President says

We have never been against deployment of peacekeepers in the Karabakh conflict zone, but we think the issue should be solved completely and finally, Armenian President Serzh sargsyan said in an interview withDeutsche Welle.

“We have expressed the willingness to sign a corresponding document that would envisage a comprehensive settlement of the conflict, including deployment of peacekeepers between the two parties, but Azerbaijan denies the proposal,” teh Armenian President says.

As for Russia’s stance on the conflict, President Sargsyan said: “We’ve never said Russia is our patron, and any country will hardly ever be our patron. Russia has never played the role for us that Turkey plays for Azerbaijan.”“Russia is our strategic partner, but we’re openly saying that we stand against the sale of Russian weapons to Azerbaijan,” the President added.

Once again Armenians in Armenia are doing their part, they can only play with the cards they have been dealt with. Once again the ball is in the diaspora's court. Aram and the rest of the ANCA better step the xxxx up and make something happen. Enough talk, it's been long enough and nothing has been done about the genocide nor this conflict.

No way the diaspora can do everything and what's necessery. There needs to be way better coordination between the gov. and the diaspora. Sadly inside Armenia they are too scared to give the diaspora power , since change (in politics) can come from there

French politicians demand imposing sanctions on Azerbaijan

              20:37, 8 April, 2016

YEREVAN, APRIL 8, ARMENPRESS. Under the light of international negligence Azerbaijan made another attempt to occupy Nagorno Karabakh Republic by force. “Armenpress” reports, citing French Le Monde, a group of French MPs and senators characterized the recent days’ onslaught of Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh this way. “Citizens of Nagorno Karabakh lost their lives due to the aspirations of the despot of Baku: Cities were bombed, children were killed on their way to school, civilians were murdered and vandalized by mercenaries who had arrived for that goal”, the French legislators mentioned.

They also underscore in their statement that lessons must be taken from this new aggression. “Who else is able to persuade the people of Karabakh to integrate into a country the regime of which wants to physically eliminate them? Independence and statehood has never been an end in itself for the people of Karabakh, but a means to live peacefully and safe in a democratic state that respects its citizens, is open in front of the world and looks forward”, reads the statement of the French legislators.

26 French parliamentarians that signed the statement called on the international community to take some responsibility for all these. They also submitted some proposals to the OSCE Minsk Group, based on which the negotiations will become maximally effective. First of all the French legislators find that recognition of Nagorno Karabakh Republic is necessary, which has been proving its viability and credibility. They also urge to return Nagorno Karabakh to negotiation table.

They also propose to set mechanisms investigating the ceasefire violations for ensuring effectiveness of the agreement, which is acceptable by Yerevan and Stepanakert but is declines only by Baku. Besides, Minsk Group Co-chairs are suggested to set an investigative commission, after which sanctions will be imposed on the aggressor.

François Rochebloine, René Rouquet, Valérie Boye, Sophie Joissains, Bernard Fournier, Michel Amiel, Nicolas Daragon and others have signed the statement.

In the court of public opinion we now have everything we need. They cut heads off of 18 year old soldiers, take pictures of it, and execute and mutilate old people. They are dark skinned and dark eyed, and live "over there". They are bloodthirsty ISIS.

Americans have one thing that overrides all reason-- Christian evangelism, which explains the unwavering support of Israel. A simple oped compaign in the south and Midwest playing on the themes of the only Christian nation being assaulted by a barbaric "other" is enough to rile up the senators and representatives. Oil isn't as big an issue here anymore. Turkey is appropriately under assault as an ally. This is the tipping point. But the ANCA etc needs to pull this trigger. We have always been afraid to play the religion card, but it is powerful and true. We already have no friends in the neighborhood. We should speak the truth and rally the support we deserve.
