UN representative in Armenia does not comment on Azerbaijan atrocities

YEREVAN. – Today, we are talking about the sustainable development of
and the prospects for Armenia; I cannot comment and express a view on
your accusations.
Bradley Busetto, the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator/UN
Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Armenia, on
Wednesday told the aforementioned to reporters. He noted this in
response to the query on Azerbaijan’s atrocities, in early April,
against the civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh).
To the question on whether he observes human rights abuses in these
actions by Azerbaijan, the UN official responded by saying that peace
is very important for both the state and the region, so as to ensure a
prospective development.
Busetto added that he can say on behalf of the UN that they welcome
the cessation of hostilities to establish peace, and to be able to
ensure development. In the UN official’s view, the whole community
should combine efforts to contribute to this development.
