Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

You have no idea of what's happening in Armenia and how the people there live and view the things. You are so , so out of reality it's scary.

Anyway this is not the thread for it.

How did Azeris react on the frontline during the events in Armenia ? I didn't really saw/see that much action from their side during the events or did I just miss the information?
I have lived in Armenia. Australian young generation vs Armenian young generation. Especially the males. An Australian normally leaves home to fend for himself at the age of 18-20. The Armenian doesn't till his married , even then they sometimes still live at home with the parents. The Australian works up to about 6 days a week getting close to 60 hours of work for that week. The Armenian complain about money. Average salary in Australia is $45,000 a year with house prices at average $1.200,000(Sydney) with interest rates at about 5%. Armenia Average wage yearly is $ 3600 and average house price is $70,000 , and that mind you is in the city. Houses in the city of Sydney are well over 3 million dollars depending on size and views.
So my point is you think you guys got it hard ? So do we. It will take me over 30 years to pay my own house off . Lets not get into house hold electricity water and food. Believe me you would be shocked. So my point is , Armenians complain and we have it hard but continue to work , maybe you can all learn a lesson or two ? The world has changed. Stop eating seeds on the side streets and send your women to work.

Armenian MFA: If Azerbaijan does not speak about territorial concessions - why tell us if Azerbaijan does not speak about territorial concessions, it is not clear what to do in Armenia. He told reporters on August 4, after the Government meeting, Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan. When asked about what compromises may be involved, and that this is expected from the Armenian side, Kocharian expressed surprise that Armenia should say anything about it, if Azerbaijan does not even mention the possibility of the return of Nagorno-Karabakh territories (part of Martuni and Martakert regions - Ed.). "I have never seen in our reports to the press in Azerbaijan asked, for example, the president about this. Why then such questions should be asked at us? "- Said Kocharian.

x2 but in San Francisco. The culture of complaining and complaining about money while doing absolutely nothing to resolve their current problems is a pretty hard thing to sympathize with, especially when Im putting in 60 hours a week just to survive. Im teaching myself programming and going without nights partying to be more competitive while there are Armenians here who haven't worked a proper job their entire lives.

There were these diaspora Armenians who tried creating job boards in Armenia and finding the most in demand professions. They were education, IT, healthcare professionals. But since your average Armenian male is too arrogant to work for someone else and to insecure to let his woman work, these positions go largely unfilled.

This type of mindset is a detriment to our people in the 21st century.

                ---

Back to the conversation. A lot of blogs and pseudo news sources (mostly Azeri) are now talking about the inevitability of Armenia losing Karabakh through war or peace. This is interesting because I've read an article that their economy is largely on the edge. If Armenian leadership knew what was best, they'd prepare for an offensive operation as opposed to letting our peers perish in the trenches.

I asked him why he left Armenia since he was making officially a 100000 more than the president.
                    His story...
About 1-1/2, 2 years ago they installed a 23 years old boss that was a relative of some high ranking official. This guy did not know a thing about Internet. But a fiew months later department ended up a large amount of equipment and funds missing. He says everyone knew that the new boss did it with his government sponsors.
One day this guy and several others were taken to police stations and interrogated, he was beaten up and kept for 36 hours. Police were demanding that he admit that he and several others were involved in theft and embezzlement of company funds. Everybody was afraid to say anything about boss and his click. His wife got a call from an unknown person telling her to let him know to "kheloq Mna" or else he would stay in jail.
Long story short, after he got out, he took his wife and flew to London, from there to US. Was hired right on spot and given a business contract with visa.
He says within six month of that insident, 1/2 the department he knew has ended up outside of country. Everyone who could just run out after released from arrest.
He says one of his friends even went to Italy and asked for political assylum.
                    All, educated IT people.
If anyone doubts the story, can send me a message and I will introduce him/her with this guy.
One think that I can verify, he is very professional that allready handles all company communications with all the branches in LA, Chicago, Conyers, Madison and England. And he has come to this country just little over a year.
Too much drama , very sad. Why can't it just be like a normal country you can invest into. Why do they create headaches when you are creating jobs. It as if they don't want to see a better nation. All these terrorists who are destroying our countries advance need to be tied down and bashed to death with a bat .

In other news Armenian Service Men are being trained in the US. Does anyone know why Putin and Sargsyan are meeting next week ?
