What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

RIP our fallen soldiers. I suggest disproportionate response to every such incursion. This should include shelling of both military and non military targets. The Azeris must learn that the cost of these incursions is far greater then what they are willing to bear. We must make this death by a thousand papercuts strategy too costly for our adversary.

CSTO calls Azerbaijani diversionary incursion against Armenia ‘provocation’

YEREVAN, December 29. /ARKA/. The Russia-controlled Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) expressed today its deepest concern over an armed incident reported near the Armenian village of Chinari on the border with Azerbaijan today morning.x

CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said in a statement that the organization considers these actions on the territory of a CSTO member state as a provocation, especially against the background of an unprecedented upsurge of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh in April when heavy weapons and armored vehicles were used.

According to the CSTO Secretary General, it seemed, given the efforts that have been made on both sides, as well as by the leaders of a number of states, that the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process would finally gather momentum.

"However, the reports from the region about regular violations of the ceasefire, and especially the incident on 29th of December, resulting in death of servicemen, are causing serious concern," – the statement said.

Armenian defense ministry reported earlier today that Azerbaijani troops attempted a diversionary incursion in the early hours of December 29 southeast of the village of Chinari in Tavush province. It said Armenian armed forces neutralized the aggressive action of Azerbaijani troops, driving them back into Azerbaijani territory.

According to Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a spokesman for Armenian defense ministry, Azerbaijan’s casualties amounted to seven servicemen. During the fighting, three Armenian soldiers were also killed.

The Azerbaijani attempted attack made Armenia’s foreign ministry call on the international community asking it to condemn Azerbaijan's military adventure.

‘We condemn in the strongest terms today’s the diversionary incursion attempt by Azerbaijan on the state border with Armenia, which resulted in human loses. We express our deepest condolences to the relatives and fellow servicemen of the fallen soldiers,’ the statement reads.

‘While the most serious damage caused to the settlement process in the result of the Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) this April has not been overcome yet, Baku embarks on a new adventurism grossly violating the agreements reached at the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits and the commitment to settle the issue through peaceful means. This is how Baku responds to the Foreign Ministers of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries who urged in Hamburg to adhere strictly to the 1994/95 ceasefire agreements.

On numerous occasions the international community, via the Co-Chairs, has called to maintain the ceasefire, especially during the holidays. By undertaking military diversionary incursion on the Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Baku acts against the universal human values.

The international community, first and foremost the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries should take immediate steps to sober up the Azerbaijani leadership, who has lost the sense of reality, ignores and opposes with defiance to their calls and demands,’ the statement says.-0- x

Sharmazanov: it is the first time Arstakh is titled as Nagornox Karabakh Republic in the document of an essential internationalx entity of CSTO.x

ArmInfo. There are threeximportant messages in the CSTO statement due to recent events atxArmenian-Azerbaijani border, Edward Sharmazanov, the Vice Speaker ofxArmenian Parliament and the Leader of Armenian Delegation to CSTOxstated in this conversation with ArmInfo reporter.

"The first important message is exactly the fact of the statement. Inx essence, this is the first statement made by CSTO, clearly mentioningx the side that has initiated this aggression .The second is that thisx time CSTO gives a clear evaluation of Azerbaijan actions, calling thex border events as "provocation". And the third and the main message isx that this is the x first time Arstakh is titled as Nagorno Karabakhx Republic in the document of such an essential international entity,x like CSTO is.x I think all these facts state that thex external/foreign course taken by Yerevan is accepted by our partnersx and whole the international community," the expert accentuated. x

The CSTO statement due to the situation at Armenian-Azerbaijanix border particularly reads, that "CSTO secretariat is concerned aboutx the information regarding the armed incident near the Chinari villagex of the Repabulic of Armenia. We accept these actions held at thex territory of the CSTO member country as a provocation, especiallyx -taking into consideration an April events in Nagornoi-Karabakhx Republic, when heavy weapons and artillery were launched. We had ax hope that within the efforts of both sides of the conflict thjex settlement process should be improved, but the latest information onx regular cease fire violations, especially the incident of Decemberx 29, causes serious concerns."x

On December 29 morning, at the south-east sector of the Armenianx border, near the village of Chinari, Azerbaijani troops had initiatedx a diversion attempt, launching rocket mortars and sniper rifles.x Armenian Army engaged the battle. Accoirding to the informationx shared by Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the Press Secretary of Armenianx Defence Ministry, xLeutenant Shavarsh Melikyan and privates Edgarx Narayab and Eric Abovyan perished in the battle. According tox Hovhannisyan, the enemy was thrown back leaving one body shot down atx the battlefield. There is no more certain data about Azerbaijanix losses. Armenian Defense Ministry has all the proof data onx Azerbaijani violation of Armenian border. "All the liability for thisx diversion should be carried by Azerbaijani top governing units,"x Armenian Defence Ministry statement reads.x

Azeris know we are not gonna do anything, thats why this keeps happening. "We rebuffed the attack. Enemy had loses. Etc." Then all is normal again.

Please try to be realistic to make it exciting and meaningful.
Here's my take: (#1 being the weapon I would like to see most, #3 the least)
            1) Strike drones with guided missiles
            2) Pantsir S-1
            3) Kornet EM (Kornets mounted on Gaz Tigr)

            1) Delilah GL
            2) IAI Harpy
            3) Kornet EM
            4) Cyberwarfe battalion

This questions about asking russian's help that circulate are very absurd. We have to come to full anderstanding about all the aspects and results of any Russian or CSTO involvement.
              1) Wy would you ask the help of another country when you can handle situation yourself?
There has never been any point in Artsakh conflict (including 1989-94) that we did not eventually turn the events in our favor militarily.
              2) All of Armenians have to realise that asking help from other countries will directly undermine Armenia's sovereignty. So there must be a point clearly seen before which Armenians should do everything possible to solve the problem themselfs.
              3) Asking for anybody's intervention clearly sends signal of a weakness around the world which will psychologically embolden our enemy and weaken our moral.
              4) Asking for intervention will take control and outcome of negotiations of Artsakh conflict out of our hands and result in very unfavorable resolution.
              5) The idea of outsider intervention will continuosely weaken Armenia's efforts at improving its own defences.
              6) Asking for intervention should be done only at the point where in an ongoing war Armenia is clearly and undeniably being defeated.
              Etc. etc. etc.
So please people, stop bringing Russia or anybody in this and explain and work around with other Armenians so the cancerous idea of asking for help is killed.

I still don't know why we can't raise an SF battalion to conduct sniper raids on their conscripts. It's like being sitting ducks.

No need to put our boys at risk. We should simply shell everything and anything within range. We should test out one of those iskander missiles deep into their side inflicting a large number human losses. Their ceasefire violations are there for all to see and our response is fully justified. It seems what we lack is balls.
