Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      Smart move...very smart move:

"With Azerbaijan and Pakistan currently pursuing a strategic partnership (see EDM, September 28, 2016; December 15, 2016), Armenia and India have decided to step up their cooperation across several dimensions. Indeed, the past six months were marked by a visible reinvigoration of Armenian-Indian bilateral ties, which culminated with a visit to Yerevan, on April 24, of a high-level Indian delegation led by Vice President M. Hamid Ansari (Gov.am, April 24). The Indian vice president held meetings with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandyan, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and President Serzh Sargsyan. The meetings resulted in the signing of three important agreements....
Looking ahead, Yerevan and New Delhi are preparing to sign a “strategic” accord focused on partnership in defense and security. The pending document will cover mutual support and military cooperation. The agreement is supposed to be forged later this year, during Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to India (Mediamax, April 25)."

The Armenian defense ministry delegation, led by Levon Ayvazyan, head of the defense policy department, visited India from May 16 – May 20 to study cooperation...

He also believes since Armenian people are smart and we allways had high level scientists, we should create robotic systems where all the border area will be monitored and any movement in no mans land area hit with auto-operated missiles and machine guns.
He is totally right. The fact that no army has yet done that is so weird.
It's relatively easy to automate our weapons with the current technologies. It's also not expensive , since Armenia is full of engineers.
        I don't understand why we don't do that .

There is tremendous opportunity. There are a lot of off the shelf components that you can use for this. I think it is the lack of a proper independent Intelligence and Signals units that cause this. Most militaries are broken down into Infantry, Armor, Artillery, Air Defense, Signals, Engineering, Material, and Intelligence. Some have Air also. If you had an independent Signals unit responsible for communications, both within the units and SIGIN ELINT, then youd have an easier way of equipping what they need. I think having an independent Signals Brigade for Armenia can mean we can assign special units to EW and INT gathering, while supplying all communications internally.

I'm not even talking about that , what you are describing requires lot of time and complex coordination.
What I'm talking about is simply automating our weapons on the border to reduce the risk for our conscripts to get sniped.

Instead of having a 20y/o man standing on the most dangerous places on the frontline , we could automate some machine guns with a Camera ( night vision too ) and a simple Move/Shoot system. It is very easy to create those movements with electronics , very very easy.

Instead of our boys going to the frontline themselves , they could simply monitor the area from a safer distance and reduce the chance of being sniped to 0%
Doesn't even cost a lot of money and time.

As Zakarian indicates the bombing is done by mortars, I can guarantee you that conventional mortars can never be this accurate. Their accuracy is generally between tens to hundreds of meters. Not like this.
In this clip you see how Two mortars are sent thru the same hole thru covering on azeri OSA. Or double hits maybe 1-2 meters apart on supply vehicle for OSA. Or repeated hits inside trench and direct hit on Spike launcher.
We could not be that lucky in one engagement.
Something tells me that those mortar shells were guided. Given large caliber of 120mm entirely possible.
I am reading that US/NATO started developing guided mortars since 2009, first trials being done on 2012. So it's a very modern, fresh technology.
The accuracy on US guided mortars is 3-5 meters.
So looking at a single hole hitting mortars of ours, I wonder if we have not got something super accurate?
                Did we develop it?
Or else, who is supplying us such a game changer modern ordinance? (Does Russia even have them?)
If I am not hallucinating now, this is big, very big.

A lot of hype is given to the big weapon systems (Jet fighters, submarines, battle tanks that cost 16mil) but the reality is there are a lot of Small Arms, Light Weapons and artillery systems that Armenia can produce that will tip the scale of battle.
