Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

    Հայ երգիչ–երգչուհիները հայտարարություն են տարածել՝ ուղղված Եվրոպական հեռարձակողների միությանը և Հայաստանի հանրային հեռուստաընկերությանը, որով հրաժարվում են մասնակցել այս տարի մայիսին Բաքվում կայանալիք «Եվրատեսիլ 2012» մրցույթին։


    Հայտարարության մեջ ասված է.

    «Փետրվարի 23-ին, Տավուշի մարզի Չինարի գյուղի ուղղությամբ տեղակայված մարտական հենակետում, ադրբեջանցի դիպուկահարի արձակած կրակոցից զոհվել է ՀՀ Զինված ուժերի ժամկետային զինծառայող Ալբերտ Ադիբեկյանը: Եվ սա այն պարագայում, երբ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացի միջնորդ երկրները բազմիցս կոչ են արել հակամարտող կողմերին հետ քաշել դիպուկահարներին շփման գծից: Հայկական կողմը մշտապես հայտարարել է, որ պատրաստ է այդ քայլին: Ադրբեջանը, ինչպես տեսնում ենք, ոչ միայն չի ընդունում այդ առաջարկը, այլև ցանկացած առիթ օգտագործում է հայի արյուն հեղելու համար: Այս պարագայում մենք, ներքոստորագրյալներս, հրապարակավ հայտարարում ենք, որ լրջագույն վերապահում ունենք` կապված Բավքում կայանալիք Եվրատեսիլին Հայաստանի մասնակցության հետ:
    Հայաստանի երգիչները տարիներ շարունակ մասնակցել են Եվրոպական հեռարձակողների միության կազմակերպած «Եվրատեսիլ» երգի բոլոր, այդ թվում` նաև մանկական մրցույթներին:

    Սակայն այս տարվա «Եվրատեսիլ-2012»-ն Ադրբեջանի մայրաքաղաք Բաքվում անցկացնելու հեռանկարը հարուցեց շատ երկրների հասարակական կազմակերպությունների, քաղաքական գործիչների, ինչպես նաև միջազգային կազմակերպությունների սուր քննադատությունն ու դժգոհությունը:

    Մենք հայտարարում ենք, որ հրաժարվում ենք մասնակցել Բաքվում անցկացվող մրցույթին:
    Մենք հրաժարվում ենք ելույթ ունենալ մի երկրում, որը հայտնի է հայերի զանգվածային ջարդերով ու կոտորածներով, մի երկրում, որտեղ հայատյացությունը հասցված է պետական քաղաքականության մակարդակի, մի երկրում, ուր մուտքն արգելված է ազգությամբ հայ որևէ մեկի համար, եթե նույնիսկ նա այլ երկրի քաղաքացի է, ինչին ականատես ենք լինում գրեթե յուրաքանչյուր ամիս:

    Որքան էլ ադրբեջանական իշխանություններն ասեն, թե իբր երաշխավորում են մասնակիցների անվտանգությունը, այնուամենայնիվ, ակնհայտ է, որ 2004 թ-ին ՆԱՏՕ-ի կազմակերպած միջոցառումներից մեկի ժամանակ Բուդապեշտի հյուրանոցում գիշերը ադրբեջանցի մարդասապան սպայի ձեռքով անկողնում քնած պահին կացնահարված Գուրգեն Մարգարյանի ճակատագրին կարող է արժանանալ ազգությամբ հայ յուրաքանչյուր երգիչ կամ պատվիրակության որևէ անդամ:
    Մենք հրաժարվում ենք ելույթ ունենալ մի երկրում, որը Սումգայիթում, Կիրովաբադում, Բաքվում, Մինգեչաուրում և Մարաղայում կազմակերպեց զանգվածային ջարդեր և կոտորածներ, որոնց զոհ գնացին հարյուրավոր հայեր: Մի երկրում, որը հարձակվեց Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի խաղաղ բնակչության վրա, փորձեց բռնի ուժով հայաթափել Ղարաբաղը և մեր քույրերին ու եղբայրներին դուրս մղել իրենց պատմական հայրենիքից: Արցախի մեր քույրերի և եղբայրների հերոսական ինքնապաշտպանության շնորհիվ նրանց զինված ուժերը դուրս մղվեցին Արցախից, սակայն այսօր էլ շարունակում են հայերին կոտորելու սպառնալիքները: Եվ այդ ամենը կատարվում է նախագահի և իշխանության տարբեր մարմինների մակարդակով, որոնք տարիներ շարունակ իրենց քաղաքացիներին դաստիարակում են ռևանշիզմի և հայատյացության ոգով:

    Մենք կոչ ենք անում Հայաստանի Հանրային հեռուստաընկերությանը հրաժարվել այդ երկիր մասնակից ուղարկելուց և միաժամանակ հայտարարում, որ մենք այժմ էլ պատրաստ ենք մասնակցելու «Եվրատեսիլ-2012»-ին, եթե Եվրոպական հեռարձակողների միությունը որոշի մրցույթը տեղափոխել ցանկացած այլ երկիր, որտեղ կտիրի համերաշխության և հավասար մրցակցության այն մթնոլորտը, ինչն առկա էր անցած տարի Հայաստանում անցկացված մանկական «Եվրատեսիլի» օրերին, որին, ի դեպ, չմասնակցեց Ադրբեջանը: Հայտնում ենք նաև, որ պատրաստ ենք մասնակցելու «Եվրատեսիլի» բոլոր հետագա մրցույթներին»:

      Kapan airfield is nearer to artsakh, maybe they'd use that.
      The SU-25 has the ability to carry drop tanks (look at Spetsnaz's Avatar, those are not bombs...they are fuel tanks) which can give this baby a combat range of over 1200 Km. Again, just like ZORAVAR pointed out fuel burn varries with altitude, power settings, flying technics, and mission profile. Also range is not everything, there is such a thing as indurance (loiter time over battlefield), Winds aloft, and airspeed when the aircraft is clean and light which can cover more ground with same fuel. Also remember it is common practice to carry additional fuel which is not in those calculations (1/2 hr in clear day/45 min at night or instrument condition) as reserve/emergency which if needed can be utilized as well to make it back to base.

      A-10 is a hammer......the SU-25 is an arrow. They both do their jobs well for their intented design.

      Another good plus for the SU-25 is that its very simple aircraft to maintain.....it has those MIG-21 engines that have been proven over the years with a solid airframe that can keep flying with no great expense for many years to come. It doesn't have the big guns like the A-10 but it can still punch a nice hole in a tank.

      The SU-25 is a fly by "seat of your pants" pilots airplane.....even A-10 pilots love it.

          YEREVAN. – The US Government-sponsored and Armenian MFA-supported Armenian-Georgian command-headquarters exercises, entitled “To detect and prevent the transportation of weapons of mass destruction,” were held in Armenian capital Yerevan, from Tuesday to Thursday.

          The objective of the theoretical exercise—which brought together Armenian and Georgian experts and US specialists—was to inform about, and respond to, the detecting and preventing of the illegal transporting and smuggling of weapons of mass destruction and their components, along the Armenian-Georgian border, MFA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

          And the respective Armenian-Georgian field exercises are scheduled for this June.

                everybody in the region is exercising because of the iran situation, they'd be idiots if they didn't.
