Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.

        Ս. թ. մայիսի 21-ին մեկնարկել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի Աֆղանստանում միջազգային կայունության աջակցման ուժերի (ISAF) Հյուսիսային հրամանատարության օպերատիվ հրահանգչական և փոխգործողության խմբի (OMLT) կազմում ծառայող 5 հայ հրահանգիչների հերթափոխի գործընթացը:
        Հայ հրահանգիչները մայիսի 21-ից մինչև հուլիս ամիսը ԳԴՀ ԶՈՒ ուսումնական կենտրոնում բազմազգ օպերատիվ հրահանգչական և փոխգործողության խմբի անձնակազմի հետ համատեղ կմասնակցեն նախատեղակայման վարժանքի, իսկ հուլիս ամսին կմեկնեն փոխարինելու ս.թ. հունվարից Աֆղանստանում ծառայություն իրականացնող հրահանգիչներին:
        Օպերատիվ հրահանգչական և փոխգործողության խմբի առաջադրանքն է պատրաստել Աֆղանստանի ազգային բանակի սպաներին: Այս ծրագիրն իրականացվում է Աֆղանստանում ՆԱՏՕ-ի ընդհանուր ռազմավարության շրջանակներում, որի նպատակն է պատրաստել Աֆղանստանի իշխանություններին ՆԱՏՕ-ի ուժերից երկրի անվտանգության ապահովման առաքելության փոխանցմանը:

          Traffic accident kills two servicemen in Azerbaijan

          Terter. Teymur Zahidoglu – APA. Traffic accident killed three people in Terter.

          APA’s Karabakh bureau reports that 3 people, including 2 servicemen died, one was injured as a result of collision of VAZ-2107 and VAZ-21015 cars in Chamilli village of the region.

          The incident was recorded on the 6th km of Terter-Goranboy highway, in Chamilli village.

          Officers of the Azerbaijani Army, Balabey Mursalov,28, Sabir Huseynov,28, and driver of VAZ-2107, resident of Terter’s Seydimli village Fazil Shahbazov died at the site.

          Vahid Malikov, 27, was hospitalized. His state is reported serious.

          The criminal case was launched by Terter Region Police Office, the investigation is underway.

            I've heard the same. Much of the territory changed hands several times during the war and was indefensible. In terms of men and material, it was too costly to hold.

              Armenia is a full member of CSTO and it will get assistance from the organization in case of necessity, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) said at a Yerevan-Moscow-Chisinau-Kiev-Astana space bridge, commenting on CSTO position in case of possible military aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia.

              “If non-friendly actions are taken against Armenia, CSTO member states will provide necessary assistance to Armneia,” Bordyuzha said.

              Assessing the activity of the CSTO over the past ten years, the Secretary General said it has succeeded in its mission. “Today the organization is well-known and is reckoned with. It has played a great role in the life of all member countries,” Nikolay Bordyuzha said.

              Touching upon the exercises of the CSTO collective rapid reaction forces to be held in Armenia in September, Bordyuzha said Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has sent invitations to all member states. According to the Secretary General, preparation works are currently under way.

              "In particular, Armenia is actively preparing for the military exercises, choosing the site of their conduct,” the Secretary General said, adding that there are still some technical issues, which will be solved in due time.

                  Two questions:
                  1. Would only Russia be helping or all CSTO nations. I ask this because Azerbaijan has fraternal relations with many CSTO members. Can can individual members opt not to help Armenia?
                  2. Would an invasion of Karabakh be under CSTO jurisdiction, as it is internationally recognized as part of Azerbaijan?

                    I'd take these statements with a grain of salt. Only Russia would intervene. Besides, what can the other countries do? they don't have the capacity to deploy troops outside their borders and project power. Also, the turkic countries would definitely not intervene against Azeris.
