The Obama administration has confirmed that Middle East Envoy George Mitchell will be in Turkey this weekend. This is a great opportunity for all Americans to show the administration there is a groundswell of support for genocide recognition.
Following is the note I wrote at
Share your thoughts with President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Go to this Web site. Don't try to send to this address. It is not an email address. This seems to be the best way to contact the president.

"I am so proud of your nascent administration. I write today as an Armenian-American urging George Mitchell to address the Armenian Genocide while in Turkey this week. The Turkish government needs to know the United States does not sacrifice human rights, history and truth to political expediency. Most Armenian-Americans proudly recognize the longtime support of both yourself and Joe Biden for Armenian Genocide recognition. We hope you urge your brave Middle East envoy to take the next step."

You can copy this or write your own. It's probably most important that they just receive a lot of these notes today.

(CNN) — An anticipated trip by U.S. Middle East Special Envoy George Mitchell to Turkey this weekend has been postponed, the U.S. Embassy in the Turkish capital of Ankara said Friday.

An Embassy spokeswoman insisted the postponement had nothing to do with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s angry outburst at Israeli President Shimon Peres during a panel discussion in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.

“The trip was postponed because of really tight scheduling,” said spokeswoman Kathy Schalow, speaking by telephone from Ankara. “The decision was made a few hours before (the panel discussion).”
