Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • The Ideal Armenia - What's your version?

What I'd like to know is what the ideal End Goal/Vision of Armenia everyone here has.

The Economic system...The Political system...The Religious system....The Social system....What are you're views on each element?...And how would they all combine together to form your ideal Armenia?

Personally, to put it short, I'd like Armenia to be what the United States was in it's humble beginnings.

    - Democratic Politics, Capitalistic-Free Market Economics, Non-Interventionist and Reserved Foreign Policy.

I/We can delve deeper into each element if I see people are interested in discussing this subject.

Re: The Ideal Armenia - What's your version?

If you wish to understand the context behind my logic for choosing this ideal I`m about to describe, read this thread:
Where we discuss more serious topics like philosophy, politics, history etc

What I propose for the country of Armenians is feudalism (doesn`t mean we have to use the technology associated with this era proper, but rather its social institutions and the realization of divinity on the Earth through faith and loyalty in a spirit of conquest and mastery towards one`s proper nature. This kind of mankind is not some obscurantist myth, it was a reality for every virile, conquering civilization that has stood on this Earth).

I propose a society that is very much traditional, very much akin to our ancient Nairian past. A people unified in spirit before politics. Likewise, their leader/king rules appeals to his peoples' spirit (their aggregate of personal will, state of consciousness), rather than by forcing his will down their throats as a tyrant would. If he can make such a spiritual appeal successfully, it's a sign of health about the entire civilization he is leading, because men would be men, fighting and serving out of their own will with confidence and zeal, very much unlike how the modern man "serves" (out of a will that fears death and thus, lacks virility and orientation towards spirituality, how his existence counts as part of the universal fabric which not only is part of the universe, but, through use of the power and will bestowed upon him, precisely gives its form) his modern nation.

I wish the same for every nation on the Earth with elements amongst its people that would like to reconnect with their traditional roots.

Oddly enough, I don't see how if I live (and die) for this end, I will anger the authorities of Armenia. I am not challenging their political authority, I serve a level of Armenia that is tied to a civilization's virility, not political power.

It is an invisible force... But take note of this: the day a race's spirit is stronger than that of its political leadership, the latter will be either toppled, or forced to bend to the will of the race it rules over.

Does this mean the people have one certain spirit that is applied to all the citizens or that the spirit of the people is the idea that everyone is expected to find his/her own spiritual path.

everyone has their own personal path, but they all lead up to the same civilization's spirit.

We already all have our own personal paths bell... This is nothing new. What makes a civilization a civilization involves loyalty towards the same institutions and traditions, why should this negate the ability for one to have a personal approach to this? Afterall, we're all different.

Well idealy it would be larger i don't care if it's immensley larger, just enough to give an outlet to the black sea.

As far as polotics go, it would be based on the American system, but i would have it to where there'd be less emphasis on political parties, and have have laws that would make sure all political parties are represented in elections and not put in a constant bind by the main ones.

For economy, it'd also be along the lines of the US and EUropean systems, but with more regulation to ensure xxxx doesn't hit the fan, but not enough regulation to where we begin to become socialistic

For the enviorment, greener is better, wind, solar, etc power to 1 provide free electricity to citizens, and to also add to the electricity we export

Revitalize the cities, clean them up and refurbish them. Also come up with a unique architecture for secular buildings, either a national one, or differnt styles that vary between the different provinces

More equality and civil rights for all people and groups except terrorists

Is this Civilization's Spirit already set in stone by something they can all relate to and can't really control, for example, Armenian's would have a spirit of "Armenianism"...........or is this a Spirit that you,jgk3, have already determined and would like to see Armenians follow.......or is this a Spirit that will be determined by the King/Highers Ups?

Also, is what you're saying essentially this:
People will know what's at the end of the "Tunnel" and all they have to do is find their way through it?
