Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Our homeland has been sold. Next time you visit Armenia, it will be called Erministan in the Republic of Turkey.

Nah if that was so then neither this forum nor Armenia would exist.

ARMENIANS OF SWEDEN DEMAND RECONSIDERATION OF ARMENIA-TURKEY PROTOCOLS

In the light of the published protocols between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey, regarding the normalization of diplomatic relations, the Union of Armenian Associations of Sweden, is highly critical of the steps taken by the Government of Armenia, especially due to its total lack of communication with the Armenian Diaspora in this regard, the Union said in an open letter to Letter to the President of Armenia, Speaker of the Armenian Parliament and Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Armenia.

“Let it be clear that we do recognize the authority of the Armenian Government and the rights invested with it as the official representative of the Armenian nation, inside and outside Armenia. However, the Government of Armenia seems to have totally neglected the role and the situation of the Diaspora, the direct result of and the heirs to the 1915 Genocide in Turkey. We looked forward to the meeting in Paris on October 2, 2009, hoping it would be a dialogue.

But, the meeting was rather a monologue, repeating the same assertions regarding the protocol and its contents which we have been hearing for the last weeks. It was said that “Armenia is ready to normalize its ties with Turkey without preconditions”. The Union of Armenian Associations welcomes and supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey, but firmly refuses to accept that the protocol does not include preconditions. It is redundant to repeat the issues in detail, since they are clearly known by the general public, and a short recapitulation will suffice. While the creation of a commission to re-evaluate “historical differences and problems” and recognizing common borders only can refer to the Armenian Genocide and its legacy, the text stating “non intervention in internal affairs of other states,” does clearly refer to the issue of Artsakh. While refuting to acknowledge the semantics of these formulations, the Government of Armenia has failed in total to present a viable explanation for why such sentences are included at all. These concealed preconditions are not the basis of a sincere rapprochement which this protocol is said to represent.

By entirely ignoring the views of the majority of the Armenian nation, i.e. the Diaspora, the Government of Armenia is de facto losing its eligibility as representative for the entire Armenian nation, an obvious unwise step. The Union of Armenian Associations in Sweden, strongly recommends the Government and the Parliament of Armenia to reconsider the contents of the drafted protocol, which if ratified, will not only seriously damage Armenian interests, crippling it morally and politically on the international area, it will most definitely strike a serious blow to the relations between the current Armenian Administration and its most strategic foreign partner and resource, the Diaspora. Nonetheless, let it be reminded once more that the Union of Armenian Associations in Sweden is in favor of the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, but only on the basis of a sincere dialogue, without any preconditions, obvious or concealed, attempting to downplay the reality of the Armenian Genocide, its legacy, or subsiding the Armenian support of Artsakh’s right for self-determination,” the letter says.

                    Re: serje the traitor

hi to all I read with big sorrow all of this anger and hatred towards each other I write in great pain this post and in fact it was such a horible and horific week the past week where we saw the TRUE armenian face all we talk about unity loving each other WE APEAR such before foreiners (or we try to hide) but we will reamain the same. chatents said: "OV HYE JOGHOVURT KO MIAK PRGUTYUN@ HOHAVAKAGAN UJIN MECH E" and I say with great pain: "Hay joghovurt yete tun ches grnar sdeghdzel havakagan uj iravunk chunis abrelu" Enough is enough we have been divided for too many years and centuries look at Arabic countries they are 400 mill and they are SLAVES because wthey can't unite what about us we are just 10 mill so WHAT ARE WE? Are we really that great imaage that we all have in our minds?
My queson is to the Armenian Diaspora I am from Leanon Im raised taught and lived for the hay tad but this is my quesion to you.
Is there ANYONE in the diaspora I change EVERYONE Armenian or non Armenian in the world as well that can give me a detailed plan that is gives steps with timeline a logical plan that in the in wil tell me if we follow this plan we will make the world or Turkey to anyone to recognize the Armenian Genocide for Turkey to compensate for Tuekey to give back lands to us IS THERE ANY SUCH PLAN HAVE ANYONE EVER THOUGHT ABOUT TO CREAT SUCH PLAN????????????? The Zionist HAD such plan and still do WHAT DO WE HAVE? or even more trival do we know what will we deman if Turkey today recognized the genocie? do we know what we will do if Obama recognized the genocide? please if anyone know such plans or at least a certain pan Armenian dicussion that has put such a plan (the contant of such a plan must be secret) PLEASE inform me of it.
What the hell is the Diaspora Armenians prsenting to Armenia to have all those expectations from Armenia what are we giving just think about it we have all Armenian fund that last year with huge surpise collected 30 mill by charity add other organisations that also contrubuted to that the howmuch would there be? 100 mill 300 mill IS THIS ENOUGH to build protect EXPAND 2 republics plus a davestated javakhk plus demend this and taht from Turkey???????????? Its not EVEN CLOSE Im not saying it isnothing Im not saying Diaspora is dpoing nothing Im just say IT ISN:T ENOUGH this landlock country has VERY VERY limited resouces even witht the Diasporas help today we still are incapable and not to mention WE DON:T HAVE A PLAN. Do we have the capabality to contribute more OF COURSE WE DO I have opned a thread (Armenian Diaspora / Armenian politics) about this issue but a few responded I will not talk about what can we do now.
we have 42000 sqkm in our hands people this is VAST area to our 3 mill (max) population that is living in Armenia there are villages in Armenia that have no road to reach there Karabakh is around 1200 sq KM there is max 150000 population do you know how small that is Lebanon is SMALLER than Karabakhj its 10452 sqKM population is 4 MILL MORE THAN ARMENIA ITSELF how are we suppposed to populate this how are we suppost to deffend this why not try and make Karabakh population 500000 or mabe a mill and tell Azeris hell with it we aren't giving you even 1 meter of land there are 1 mill peopl living here why are we dreaming and "strugling" for something we don't have and ignoring the thing that we have in our hands. what is better to fight for Van or to liberate javakhk increase Armenian population bt 300000 and why not expand to black sea to the north whcih one is better to dream about?
we are also facing a horrible demographic problem in order to defend Armenia we AT LEAST need a well equiped Army but what will the equipment do IF THERE IS NO ONE TO CARRY IT in 1917 there were VAST amount of amunition weapons logistics in Garine (Erzrum) we could have fought for at 1 year and even press on the Ottomans towads van and Trabizon from Garine bearing in mind the difficult situation of the Ottoman Army they had on the from just 35000 badly equiped naked army bu Garine fell why? BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE WILLING (at that time) to carry a weapon and fight and now there will be NO ONE to do that in the future
bottom line there is a saying that goes "meg tserkov yergu tsmerug ches grnar shalgel" let pick our fights and put all of our weight on that battle field and win it.
Again we can confront on more fronts but not now we can't now there are ways to do if we get together think together and get stronger and use all our potential but now we aren't its shamefull really

No point anymore. The system is the problem, Serj serves the interests of few powerful rich people in Armenia who care not about our history but only for their pocket, he is nothing but a pawn.
