I strongly disagree that left leaning economic policies will allow Armenia's economy to prosper. Leaving alone the cultural, geopolitical, and sociological issues for now, I do not see how left leaning polices will help. And what type of left do you mean, socialism? I would agree with a hybrid system for Armenia, combining elements of both left and right economic theories but to say that one side will solve the problems while the other will not is too simplistic an idea.
Well not socialism, but a more healthy balance of economically left policies and right policies, I would say more centre-left. I believe at this point we are just to leaned to the right economically, and favouritism towards big businesses has to be dealt with.

What do you think of introducing some merchantilist policies in Armenia? Of course our obligations as a WTO member would not allow us to, and the fact that we do not have a strong industrial base are two reasons why I think at this point it wouldn't work. But in the long run if a solid industrial base is re established then it may be a good option.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
