"Turkey slams 'unacceptable' photos of US troops wearing Kurdish patches while they fight ISIS

Photos of US troops wearing patches from the Kurdish People's Protection Unit, known as the YPG, while fighting the Islamic State alongside Kurds in Syria have enraged Turkey's foreign minister, who on Friday called the photos "unacceptable."

"It is unacceptable that an ally country is using the YPG insignia," the foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, said, according to the Turkish daily newspaper Hurriyet. "We reacted to it. It is impossible to accept it. This is a double standard and hypocrisy."

Photos of US troops wearing YPG patches while fighting alongside Kurds in Syria have reignited the debate over Washington's support for the group.

At 1:21 they guy has a French accent with a slight German mix with a "Marines" cap. Most likely belgium or Northern france. They say "Canadian" on other videos

At 0:35 his French accent of "Province" did sound French and not much Quebecois. Also on the other video ^^^ at 1:46 that was very German the "We" is clearly "Ve"

Love it- finally the US is doing something positive in the region (though they started this mess) and its driving the Turks, all the Turks (pro-Erdogan or not) f#cking ballistic. I believe the US will start to disengage as much as it can from Turkey and move more towards the Kurds. Interesting times. Meanwhile, the Russians are stepping up their work with the PKK......uh oh!

The question what is going to happen once the desert apes are gone? Will they back stab the kurds as they always did? or help them start nation building?

I imagine they'll keep them in de-jure limbo much like the situation in Northern Iraq...so essentially half screw them.
