and dants what you say about Yegiptahye is very true alot of them are ramgavar but their kids dont even speak Armenian ( me ) ...as for what you say about tashnags who instill "fake" Armenian pride in their kids I think this is very true ... so in the end both parties have their pro's and con's I guess..Comment

Diar Dants Tashnag and pro-Tashnag Armenians have a better school here. I'm pretty sure you've heard bad comments about Sourp Hagop but Armenian is tought until sec.5 Which means tashnag kids will know better Armenian than anybody else in this part of the Armenian diaspora.
In some other school they even let Arab kids to enter

From what I have seen of Sourp Hagop graduates and their knowledge of Armenian language and culture, I am not impressed. I'm a graduate of Alex Manoogian, and I'm definitely not impressed by that either. I would give Sourp Hagop a slight edge, but am definitely glad that I wasn't singing "Ari tashnag tro!" at 6-7 years old.Comment

Iv been to Ecole Secondaire Jeanne Mance and College Ville-Marie and im going to ahuntsic soon.. I grew up in St-Lambert so I didnt get a very Armenian education ...btw I have nothing against tashnag people ....90% of the Armenians I know are tashnags ..I just have something against their politics hehOriginally posted by TomServo
...hm to give you an example the other day I went to a wedding and I was talking to a kid there ..the song ara vay vay was playing and he said "we need some more revolutionnary music in here" I awnsered like dashnag music ? he agreed ... this is the kind of education your kid will get from going to surp hagop I guess lol ... but then again surp hagop is not bad I went to their barahantes a couple of times, the people there are fun and the food is not bad heheComment
