Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Ahhh, but it missed out the following.

    Article 29
Possession of an oil pipeline and large oil reserves will nullify any obligations a signatory has to follow articles 1 through 28, and will oblige all UN agencies and NGO's to cease all attempts at enforcement of said articles and ignore all breaches of said articles.

        Re: Nakhitchevan

It amuses me that, regardless of all the previous evidence, some Armenians still naively expect UNESCO / ICOMOS to take action. They even give UNESCO false credit for stopping the two previous Azeri attempts to obliterate the graveyards. In reality, UNESCO did absolutely nothing then - the Azeri's stopped only because the destruction was being publicised in world media. I guess that Azerbaijan has finally realised that it can do whatever it likes since, regardless of the publicity, UNESCO will continue to do nothing.

        Some Azeri stuff:

        APA (Azeri-Press Information Agency)

        29.12.2005.
Claims on existence of Armenian graveyard in Julfa are historically and ethnically baseless

NAKHCHIVAN. "Since Armenians never lived in Julfa, how could they have graves there? We have historical facts to prove this".

This statement was given to Nakhchivan bureau of APA by member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Science, teacher of Archeology and Ethnography Institute, Dr. of Historical Sciences Vali Bakhshaliyev. According to his words investigation conducted in the territories of Julfa recently show that our forefathers settled in these territories BC 4th-3rd millennium. Monuments in Hahajir, Goynuk, Bananyar villages of Julfa prove that 7 old Turk tribes lived in Julfa, because old Chul tribes lived in the territory, the name Julfa is associated with these tribes: “Here was Chola territory, Turkish tribes lived here. The claims of Armenian are historically and ethnically groundless. There was not any Armenian graveyard in Julfa. Ancient Alban state was in the territory of Azerbaijan. It is clear that Albans were Christian”.
According to the words of V.Bakhshaliyev, Armenians want to appropriate the places where they see cross: “Their aim is to divert attention of international organizations and community”.
Julfa executive Power informed Nakhchivan bureau of APA that Armenians have never lived in Julfa: “Some railroaders were here in middle of XX century, when they died, their relatives took them to Mehri or other territories and buried there; “Near the border between Julfa and Islamic Republic of Iran there were some graves of Russian soldier who died while serving in the border in Russian Empire”. Head of Julfa Statistic Department Abulfaz Garalov told APA that only 15-16 Armenian families lived in Julfa in 1970s: “When Armenians died, they were taken to Armenia and buried there”.
Residents of Julfa 70-year old Najafgulu Huseynov and 80-year old Bika told the correspondent of APA that neither they saw nor their parents said that Armenians lived in Julfa.

        Press-guidance

Statements by some Armenian sources of alleged deliberate destruction of headstones at an Armenian cemetery in Julfa, Nakhchivan, are totally unfounded.

The video footage disseminated by the Armenian side is mostly unfocused and can hardly serve as a proof of anything, other than just portraying a number of men of undisclosed affiliation destroying medium-sized stone objects of unknown origin. It has been officially confirmed by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan that its personnel has never engaged in any activity even remotely related to what has been claimed by the Armenian side.

This is not the first time that some political forces in Armenia refer to the tactic of groundless accusations, and the reasons for that are obvious, including, among others, the atrocities committed by the Armenian troops in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan seized through the power of arms, where no single Azerbaijani historic and/or cultural monument, including both movable and non-movable, has been left undamaged and practically no holy place escaped desecration, not to mention, economic infrastructure being purposefully damaged and dismantled, as confirmed by the fact-finding mission. We may also consider that these are possibly the attempts to shift, at this important stage of the difficult, yet positively evolving peace process, the responsibility for the eventual outcome of the talks.

Azerbaijan remains a diverse state population-vise, with other ethnic groups, including some 30000 Armenians, continuing to live in the country. As such, the Republic of Azerbaijan has been always keen on preserving, in its entirety and regardless of its roots and origin, its cultural and historical heritage.
