Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

    The Armenian Youth

    Everyday I see our Armenian youth fading away. No one cares anymore about what being Armenian is all about. Frankly I am very disgusted from the things I see. Even the youth groups that are out there, they are just excuses to add on to the drinking, smoking, and turning the young Armenian girls into known sl*ts and wh*res. About 2 weeks ago, I attended Sports Weekend that was put on by the Armenian Church Youth Orginization, sadly I say that it was just a big excuse. What hurt more was people were using the name of God, to drink and smoke, and who knows what else went on. The Armenian Youth is lost, and Genocide is truely becomming a success. You ignorant Armenians out there, WAKE UP...Learn your history, learn your past, learn your language, learn about your culture. It angers me when all Armenians know about the Genocide is, in 1915 1.5 million Armenians died. They dont even know what May 28 is, they have no clue where Armenia is on the map. Who knows that in 301 Armenia became the FIRST christian nation. Who knows in 405 the Armenian alphabet was found. Stop ruining the name of the Armenians of the past. When us, the youth decide to turn our backs on our history, and decide to party, drink, and ruin our name, we spit on the graves of all those brave fedayis, who gave their lives willingly back during the Genocide and the Independece movement because they knew what being Armenian was about. They were educated on who they are. They had the sense of pride. And with that gladly gave their lives so that the Armenian race would continue to exist. DO NOT LET GENOICDE BE A SUCCESS. Armenians are not being slaughtered today, but are being ASSIMILATED. Like the famous song says. "An Hyeuh vor azk ourana, yev Aylazk tarna, mahvan ooreetz Hye artzoonkee nah charzana." That Armenian who becomes lost and denies his Armenian heritage, let he not be worthy of Armenian tears, on his death bed!

    There have always been different Armenians among us. Concentrate on those Armenians that you have things in common with. I'm sure you're not alone out there.

            We can all complain. If you really want to do something about it, gather a group of documentation or links explaining the history, past, language, and culture, and it'll be distributed amongst all of these Armenian youth organizations shortly.

            The people that have the desire to drink and smoke and whatever will do it regardless (given the situation in America.) I say better to be with your hyerenik than otars.

                Before Armenia can hold on to Artsakh, and before they can put hands on their lost land again, Armenians must first learn to hold another Armenian's hand, with out letting go. And if we fail as the next generation of young Armenians to establish this as the main point of our cause, than we should think twice before we go to another protest or commemoration for any Armenian event. If we arnt going for the right intensions, there is no point. If we do not know our history, than the protest for some is just shouting slogans to empty walls, and a way to meet girls and guys, nothing more nothing less. Even the youth groups out there, they stress educating and keeping Armenians together is their number 1 priority, but actually they do the exact opposite. I have friends who are big time group members, and yet they dont know the first thing about Armenian history!!! All im saying is, those who do care, those who do know something, should not steep to the level of those who dont. Don't drink, don't smoke, don't do immoral and stupid things, DON'T disgrace the name of our forefathers. Karekin Njteh the founder of AYF once said, "If you want to predict the future of a race, look at its youth."
