obviously he is a hrya. All jhuds in Iran have persian names but as soon as they leave the country, adopt J ewish names.
BTW, most j ews in iran which i don't know why, choose family names ending in IAN. -

I think the xxxs in Iran put -IAN to there name cause they are Hay wanabe
