Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Tseghakronutiun is our 4,500 years old religion. It's the religion of the Armenian Nationalists.

Garegin Nzhdeh was our Messiah sent to us by Aramazd and Hayk. His aim was to remind us who we are and unite us against our enemies. Nzhde's writings along with Khorenatsi's works are our Gospel.

Read them and discover the true religion of the Armenian Nationalists, understand our Ukht and LIVE BY IT!

Good to hear about your interest in our religion. The information is hard to find not only in Belgium but around the world. You can "thank" the Armenian church for that because they have deliberately destroyed everything (thousands of written materials, hundreds of temples and even people).

Grigor Lusavoritch hated our religion because it was a very strong, very Armenian and very old religion that started with us as people. He couldn't sell Christianity to our people, for 300 long years this church burned, destroyed and killed everything that had to do with our glorious religion, by the way a religion that always believed in ONE God. But the Armenian church managed to wipe out 2,500 years of our history.

There is still a lot info that you can find and read. Start with this http://www.armenianhighland.com/index_light.html
Also check out www.narek.com they should have a few books on the subject.

But the best place for that kind of info is Armenia. If you got someone there then tell them what you are after and they will definitely find books and brochures in Yerevan's bookstores and other places where they sell books etc.

Tseghakronutiun is the brain child of Nzhdeh. It is reflecting our ancient religion in a more nationalist and less religious ways.

          I somewhat approve this message

Although what you say is more-or-less correct, nonetheless, what happened happened.

And it also happened for a purpose, for had the Armenians not adopted Christianity as a state religion they would surly have been assimilated or destroyed by the peculiarities of the region's turbulent history. Today, we may have become like the Yezdis at best, Kurds at worst. Christianity gave us a uniqueness, an inspiration during the worst of times. During the darkest of times, when the most powerful Pagans of the world simply vanished, our national culture and character was preserved by our Christian Monks within our countless Christian Monasteries. Today, we have a national Church, lets keep it national, lets keep it viable. Today, we don't have another option, not a real one at least.

So, lets keep things in a proper perspective and respect the Church of Christ.

Besides, the real character of our Christian worship/ritual, the real essence behind Christs' theology/theosophies are generally Pagan in essence and nature, and Zoroastrian in particular. Our God of the Trinity is of the same essence as our ancient national God Aramazd - the all good, all mighty, universal creator who will judge mankind at the end of time. As a matter of fact, the Christian Trinity has more in common with our ancient faith system than it does with the tribal god of the ancient Hebrews.

Christ has more in common with Buddah, Zoroaster and various other ancient deities than anything that has ever been know to the ancient Hebrews. Christ has 'nothing' to do with the awaited Messiah of the Hebrews. Christ was a Pagan deity - the son of God, the God of light - imposed upon the Hebrew population of Palestine and Rome first by Helenized xxxs, and then by Constantine the Great.

Our national Church is the very continuation, the evolution, of our ancient belief systems.

            Re: Tseghakronutiun

            Armenian

I share a lot of your thoughts, brother.

Accepting Christianity was the right choice, Astvats wanted us to do that. Being Apostolic and staying that way was also a correct decision. But I don't think the Lord wanted the church to destroy our past. And thats my beef with the church. Their paranoid and fanatical attitude that led to the destruction of our rich history. It was something that they could have easily avoided.

That is one of the reasons why church for me does not play a significant role in Tseghakronutiun. It has our deepest respect and strong recognition of being our most important national institution. Tseghakronutiun is the King with the sword at the head of the troops (read the nation) while the role of the church is to bless the King, his sword and the troops.
