I doubt they would ever give land back, even if they do recognise it. Don't get your hopes up, it's unlikely that the government's going to kick it's own people off 'Turkish' land.

Well this isn't a realistic option, unless you want Turkey to then accuse Armenia of genocide, in which they will (by our own logic) gain their lands back.

Anyways, its pointless to discuss it since countries don't give away land. This isn't the American West circa 1700. Plus, if you move Turks and Kurds out, you still have to find a way to make Armenians move in. The latter is probably harder than the former, considering how many people fled Armenia after its independence (when the popular notion was that Armenians would start moving back).

I understand that it might be hard to make many Armenians to move in, but eventually, after time and effort, it would happen.

I'd be in favor of high taxes, like how the Ottomans charged the Armenians for being non-Muslims in a Muslim empire. It is a peaceful way of making people emigrate, and the ones that stay will be beneficial to the state. The danger of expecting them all to emigrate is, if they don't, extremists will start forcing them out, and it will spiral out of control, like the situation in the Balkans, or the genocide. These days, events like that will make headlines across the globe and smear our image. This is why I say we have to let Azeri refugees back into Karabakh (and the occupied territories outside Karabakh). Even if 100% of them move back, which will hardly be the case, they will still be less than 1/4 of the population of Karabakh, but we will look like some kind of humanitarian state.

They lived in Karabakh, most of them had no quarrel with Armenians, and they were less than 1/4 minority even in Karabakh. If we don't allow them to return, Armenians, however justified our cause in Karabakh is, will look bad for ethnically cleansing the region, and will create nothing but hatred among the average Azeri. They're not big fans of their government, but when they have an outside enemy, they will unite very easily. The Azeri authorities are grooming the next generation of fighters as we speak, by purposely leaving their 700,000+ refugees homeless, in order to motivate them to fight the war for the next generation. If we simply list the return of refugees as a precondition of solving the conflict, 100% of the refugees will not move back, but we will look like good guys. And even if 100% of them return, they are merely a 20% minority.

Oh, now I understand what you mean, but that seems impossible with the majority of Armenians being racist toward Turks (including Azeris).

Ya, they are pretty hostile towards Turks in Karabakh, at least thats the impresion I got when I visited. There is still an Azeri mosque in Shusha though, and the local Armenians were talking about repairing it. So they are not entirely against them.
