It depends on the circumstances. Even if he were a friend, he'll consult the material interests of the power brokers that placed him in that important position. The question to be asked is whether or not our national and ethnic interests are in communion with those major interests bloc's position and political stance , which manage and control the affairs of nations.

I would simply add that one can find the kind of crap that they are posting in this thread about any other leader in the world to "show???" whether he/she is "a friend of foe." They probably have an agenda and it's probably dictated by the fact that Sarkozy was not their candidate.

This is yet another uninformed statement by garmir biber.
The ARF in France has always had close ties with the socialist party.
Ideologically speaking, in the past, it has often stood opposed to the lebanese branch (with the socialist outlook taking over the nationalist one)
Generally speaking, Armenians in France have traditionally associated with the left (for a number of reasons, socio-cultural, political and historical)
The french "Nor Seround" participates in such events as the gay "pride".

For the record, I'm not a party member and I don't think Lucin is either. Many if not most ARF party members are satisfied with Sarkozy's win although they would have proffered it if Royal won the elections.

Who cares whether you are member, a sympathizer or...all matters is that you are assuming the role of watchdogs of the Armenian Reactionary Forces; watchdogs who "bark loud but can't bite."

Nevertheless, watching the - he/she Siamanto the psychobabbler - and the - Lenin wannabe - at work here we see how fairy tales about the ARF is usually born
