Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

        vay aboush aghchig...

First of all, you don't seem to be the most educated person around either. (weren't you one of the two big-titted midgets in one of the other sections?)

Second, as Flames so clearly pointed it out, education in Armenia is NOT done in english. *gasp*yes, yes, I know, it's quite a shock for an assimilated American like yourself to find out that some other countries are not controlled by english, but it is reality. I will now leave you a second to get over that brutal shock.

        Alright, let's move on.

Third, you disgust me even more because you seem more concerned about what others think about armenians, than you care about armenians. Emigration is horrible, and I am hoping for it to stop, but the least we can do as a community is to help out the newly-arrived Armenians (whether you live in the States, Canada, Europe, wherever) and help them out in learning the language, finding a job and so on.

"go back to armenia, get an eductation n come back yea?"

I would just like to point out that it is disgusting for an Armenian to be saying this. It's just wrong by all means, I wouldn't know where to start.
But to reply to that line:
Armenia has a 99% litteracy rate, so for all your "odar" friends who think we're uneducated, and whose opinion is soooo important to you, you should know that the Armenian who just arrived PROBABLY has a better "eductation" (as you would call it) than your all-important friends whose opinion is worth more to you than your own people.

And last, if you think that it is better for an Armenian to speak english fluently and not know Armenian, then you are, to say it as politely as I can say it, an idiot. Yes, it is very possible for Armenians not to master the english language. And you know what? It's also very normal, because Armenians speak ARMENIAN!

        odaratsadz lagod...

I beg to differ Baron i might be one of the (big-titted midgets) you reffered to, and on occassion i tend to spell incorrectly, however i dont believe i am miseduacated or speak any less Armenian than perhaps you. I've lived here in America for 14 years but i speak fluent Armenian and am extremely proud to be an Armenian, i have never or will i ever put down a fellow Armenian for being who they are (i know the feeling). Although i understand the comment wasnt exactly for me and am not attacking you in any way i just felt i needed to justify myself. As for the one you were speaking of, i cant believe that ignorence is around at the age 19 you think you would have outgrown it. Armenians should stick up for eachother, stand by eachother, take care of one another. Yet you put down your fellow Armenian and say you are proud to be who you are, i think you need to read more it will do you good!

There is an old saying in Armenian~Im axporoches sxal@ im chishtna~which means my brothers wrong is my right and the meaning behind that is that we are Armenian we are all of the same blood, the Armenian blood!! We cannot put eachother down for being wrong if a fellow Armenian is wrong it is our job to make it right. I feel ashamed and very hurt by all this because i feel since i have been here so long i am judged as those who are ignorent of Armenians. And i am not i dont feel as though i need to prove this to everyone but its people like you that make me have to justify myself.

Ok, the reference to the big-titted midget thing was made because I had found that thread very funny, and the impression one would have had reading it, (especially after Jahannam's hilarious comment) was the one I had myself. Obviously, I was mistaken in my impression of you, but to be honest, I don't even recall who said what to whom in that thread, and maybe I have wrongfully put you in the same basket as some others. For that, you have every right to justify yourself and I apologize.

I've been living in Canada for 12 years, and didn't even live in Armenia before that, so I am faaaar from being one of those people who consider armenians living outside of Armenia for whatever time frame to not be armenians. Quite the contrary. My message and your message actually convey the same idea, which was that our community must stick together in all situations. However, when one person is insulting another armenian in the ugly way that paraparmo did, I can't help but point it out to her.
