  • Isabel Bayrakdarian

    Armenian soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian is nominated for the 2009 Grammy Awards.

    She sings on the Grammy award-winning soundtrack of the blockbuster film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and her voice can also be heard in the multiple award-winning Canadian film Ararat. She is also the subject of a film entitled A Long Journey Home that documents her first trip to Armenia.




    Canada’s top recording artists garnered a total of 10 GRAMMY Award nominations. 2009 Canadian nominees include:

    An impressive list of Canadian artists have joined the ranks of GRAMMY Award winners over the years, including JUNO Award-winning music icons such as Alanis Morissette, Anne Murray, Bryan Adams, Diana Krall, Nelly Furtado, Oscar Peterson, Shania Twain and Sarah McLachlan. The 51stAnnual GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from the STAPLES Center in LosAngeles on February 8, 2009 at 8 p.m. (EST).

    Don't forget to watch Grammy nominee Isabel Bayrakdarian this Sunday night. Awards will be broadcast live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on February 8, 2009 at 8 p.m. (EST). I think its on CBS.
