Nowadays most famous and generous Armenian is:
Kirk Kirkoryan
who donated for rebuilding Armenia more than $300,000,000. May God prolong his life, in good health, for two centuries!

And another outstanding man who lives in Armenia is:
Karen Vardanyan
he is sponsor of the “Sasuntsi David” cartoon which will be introduced on January 25, 2010. In addition he is one of the best promoters of the Armenian traditional cultural heritage and an exceptional example of a rich, young & generous nowadays Armenian patriot.

No, I'm saying 1) The most famous Armenians come from Armenia (e.g. Sasuntsi David, Vartan Mamikonyan, etc)

Sasuntsi David and Vartan Mamikonyan are famous to Armenians, but that's not even the kind of famous we're talking about. It's like trying to group George Washington with Elvis Presley, yes those armenians are famous b/c they're noted in history but they aren't celebrities.

2) There are certain people especially in America who may have last name armenian but they do not speak language, they do not care about armenian culture, etc. Those people are NOT ARMENIANS! Many of those Armenians since they live and breath american culture are wh-ores plain and simple the common side effect of American culture on women.

There are certain people in armenia who are very grateful for all the money and support that comes their way by means of "fake armos" and there's plenty of stansi's who don't care about the culture and only speak armenian and know something about armenia b/c they were born there and there was no way around it.


And as for why most of the famous Armo's I listed were not stanci's, i was goin on famous for everybody as in a global perspective, almost no one knows or cares who sasuntsi tavit, vartan mamigonian, etc are, other than armenians, however lots of non armos know the people i listed therefore they are more famous

I agree, somewhat. The thread obviously refers to Armenians who are famous, or popular, not just in Armenia, but in America and around the world. I highly doubt most people know about Sasuntsi David, therefore he is not considered as famous, given this thread. I don't like most of the people on that list anymore than you do, but if they are biologically Armenian, and they are famous, they are considered famous Armenians.
