  • Armen Tanzarian

For decades he was mistakenly known as Seymore Skinner, but the truth of this man's identity was finally revealed as Armen Tanzarian. As a young Armenian American fighting in the vietnam war, he befriended a man named Seymore Skinner. Seymore had told Armen about his overly worrisome (and annoying) old mother. When Seymore died in the war, Armen couldn't bring himself to tell his Skinner's mother that he had died.... so... he just dressed up like Seymore and pretended to be Seymore Skinner for the rest of his life. Although this was brought to the attention of the citizens of Springfield, they all decided to ignore this and just keep thinking about him as Seymore Skinner.

    P.S.
This is my favorite Simpsons episode

Wasn't it "Armin Tamzarian"? And the real Skinner wasn't dead ... he showed up. Not one of my "favorite" episodes but still ok.

Probably my most favorite is when homer stops going to church.

Well, you see there's the Eastern way of spelling and the Western way of spelling...
