Why has this bill been brought to the fore now for vote/approval in the House committee??

This issue of genocide acknowledgement and recognition has been around for a long time. The odars I talk to ask me the same question. Is there another political motive for doing so by the house or is it coincidence?

The issue has been brought forth MANY times ... it's just that this time it has managed to capture some support (perhaps due to partisan politics and the general dislike of Bush and his cronies) but who knows.
