Are there no Armenian-Americans in the U.S. Foreign Service, State Department or circle of influence about the Administration that is worthy of nomination for this position?
I mean look at Ambassador Khalilzad - US Ambassador to UN, he is a naturalized Pashtun that was previously the U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan and Iraq.
It would seem that just like their are certainly synergies enjoyed by the U.S. to employ a naturalized Muslim pashtun as its representative in his former country, its Islamic neighbor to the southwest and the U.N., the same would be the case by employed an American citizen of Armenian origin as its ambassador to the RA.
Do you think this will ever come to fruition? If so, when?
