New Anthem

I've always heard talk about Armenia changing the anthem from "Mer Hayrenik" to something more.......better? I remember that there was also a committee to oversee the process but did it actually ever go through/is it going through?

Also are you all in favor of a new anthem? Maybe we should just take America America and insert Armenia in America's place, and think of another line for "sea to shining sea," since were unfortunately land locked.. On second thought scratch the America America idea

the comitee was in the process to choose from the four interpretations (of which one was the soviet era anthem by khachturyan) which arrived for the final choice, but as usual interferences began, there has been a huge lobbying from all parts, and everything has frozen, cause every part wanted his version to be adopted -and apparently it is worth, just think when you read anywhere, armenian national anthem, lyrics by ..., music by ...,
