I've actually made it a point when explaining to people about the Genocide that not only Armenians were killed but all Christians (Pontics & Assyrians) the Turks considered as a "threat" to the state.

So do I. In fact, in my short essay on the Armenian Genocide, I made it quite clear that the policies of hatred that the Turks implemented were enforced against all Christian minorities, period. Only in incidences specific to Armenians did I single out that ethnic group. Calling it the Armenian Genocide is in no way meant to diminish, or downplay what happened to the other Christian minorities during that time period. However, Armenian lands were the unfortunate stars of the show with the Armenian people being the unfortunate main attraction, thus why it is dubbed the Armenian Genocide.
