Yeah sorry if I misunderstood, definitely could have used rewording, things like "if they speak armenian at all, then its their western dialect" and "they don't carry many Armenian morals" may make people think something else.

Agree with your last post... we are all hye and if united will be much more powerful nation! and scum like the original poster cannot succeed in dividing.

I am not trying to say anything bad. Maybe I worded wrong. What I mean to say that there is a difference between Western Armenians and Eastern Armenians that is not only dialect. The jokes told by easterners, view points on society (being under USSR changes it), even clothes are differences not meant to criticize Westerners. When I say 'Americanized' I mean that since western armenians have been living in the diaspora for so long that they have adapted to society more that eastern armenians who have immigrated in the 90's and now. Therefore, western armenians have been more prone to marrying a non-armenian. Of course our armenian morals are intact, but nevertheless there are differences, because easterners lived for many years under Soviet union while westerners live in free countries like America or France. That is why our mindset has changed and that is why there is a bigger difference today between westerners and easterners. I'll give credit to the western armenians because without their financial and political support Armenia would be in a very serious situation. But in the end of the day we are all ՀԱՅ!

Wow what a stupid thread. I came across this forum and just had to comment. First of all Western Armenians do not hate hyeastancis. We hate certain stupid people like you, and likewise hyeastancis hate certain stupid Western Armenians.

For the above poster, how can Western Armenians be Americanized if there are Western Armenians throughout the world like France etc.. If you mean we are like the people from our residing countries, unlike you, then you are better than us by not turning Armenia into some Russian district.

I am sorry for not carrying Armenian morals, you have taken all our morals. Your morals can be proudly shown in the news and film.

there are many differences: western armenians are more 'americanized' and if they speak armenian at all, then its their western dialect. Being americanized and not coming from USSR, western armenians pretty much are American just with armenian desent, they probably marry Americans or non-Armenians, and they don't carry many Armenian morals. We Hayastancis are Armenians from ARMENIA. Hayastancis most often marry other hayastancis, and we have our jokes and customs that westerns don't understand. We have the rabiz, we have the soviet cars, we have the SAS supermarkets, Jazzve cafes, the typical internet cafes, our breads like hrazadan or matnakash. We don't mix english into our armenian, but unfortunately sometimes we mix Russian into our armenian. Those are some of the differences.
