  • Moving from Armenia to America: The Process

Without going too in depth, I would like to hear how this process works. How does somebody living in Armenia go about making their way to America?

I'm sure they are given a temporary pass in which some of them stay illegally. I just want a brief explanation of the several different ways someone can visit America or move to America permanently/temporarily.

Again, please don't go in depth. I don't need a step-by-step play, just the gist of it will do. This isn't a plea to get my family across to America; it's simply for a story.

Well when I went to America with my family, I guess we got visas and first of all, an invitation from one of my dads good friends there. Out of 50 something people, only our family and one other family was given visas. That's one way.

Another way is to go work there. It costs $3000-$4000 but is pretty secure. You get special visas and can work in America and eventually get a green card even, I think. I used to work in one of these agencies as a translator and designer.

    Hope I could help!

Or you can sign up for a green card and when you get it move to America freely.
