Lucin jan, Mante making reminds me of "tserakords" handicraft, handiwork. Like KanadaHye said, after it's browned in the 350o oven, when ready to eat them, you cook it a little on a skillet with some (not a lot) chicken broth and see to it that it's still crisp. Then you put some 'madsoun' and a bit grinded garlic. It's the best Armenian food I like.

That's the bad part... after 4 hours of work, it's devoured in 5 minutes

Except I've never seen the use of mint.... usually the spice Sumak is sprinkled on top as well as some tomato sauce on top of the yogurt.

I'm not sure if it's just a bolsahye thing... I'd like some input from some other armenians around the world.
    From the site:
The pieces are the size of your pinkie finger. Called mante, they are stuffed with a ball of ground beef, baked, and then devoured with a sauce of yogurt, minced garlic, and mint - a treat even within the Armenian community.
Wow, yummy... it should be a western thing, I hadn't heard of it but it sounds much like 'pirashki', doesn't it? Except that pirashki has other variants too, like cheese or potato...

No disrespect to vegetarians.... if you take meat from my diet, you'll be next on the menu!!
Don't worry, you won't tell the difference when we replace your steak with a soy steak!

What does a soy t-bone steak look like? lol
Do you really want to know? lol
