Katy jan, Է is used for the eh sounds like in Arinberd, but NEVER use in the middle of a word, only for the start (en Espaņol como este),
Ե is used for Ye in the beginning of a word (Yev meaning And) or for E in another place.
The other one, is written as E but it's actually an uh sound, like enker, so enker is then ընկեր. The schwa is used like that.
Hope that helps you
Ohh Pedro thankss I guess I got it so the word "Yev" is written with only that E and V? only with those 2 letters they write the "yev"?
Helloo peoplee =) I am just learning the letters :$
I have doubts about those differents mm "E" I mean the letter number 5, 7 and 8 :S Where should I use each of them?? All of them are E..
Thankss!! ^^

Does everyone here use the Western Dialect/Alphabet?
We have both Western Armenians and Eastern Armenians on the forum. For the orthography, i've seen members here use both but the divide is usually Hayastantsis using Soviet reform (Apeghyan) orthography and Western Armenians and Barsgahyes using Mashdotsian (Traditional) orthography. I know how to use both but I prefer to use traditional, though when one masters traditional it does not take much to learn the reformed one.
