I don't get the joke (sorry). But does this mean that there's some level of consensus that it should be Gha instead of K?

Any commentary on the distortion issue, since there are many Kazarian's in the US? I'm curious as to whether you folks are thinking that they're all distorted.

    Thanks for your continued assistance.

They are similar with the sekond being a courcer sound. They are also pronounced differently in western and eastern dialects.

Thank you Fed. It is definitely Western. What I know is that on the immigration papers (Application for Certificate of Arrival), it was spelled Ghazarian. When the family immigrated to the US, they couldn't write or read English, so it was written by an American immigration person - you know, they ask you what your name is and you pronounce it, and they write it the way it sounds. So I don't look at that as a credible source.

Is there any way to be sure? Kazarian is a common name in America - is it possible that they are ALL distorted?

By the way, my most humble thanks for the assistance here.

Dear Fed jan, I just wish to thank you again, because if it wasn't for you I still wouldn't be able to write my Armenian fonts in here. Thanks again for showing me the way.

Thank you for the prompt reply. The first letter is very critical due to the nature of the project. I look forward to any help that others may provide.

It would either be Գազարեան or Քազարեան. Perhaps someone more familiar with this name will chime in.
We can help you with the script as well once we figure out the spelling.

In the meantime here's a thread about that...
