MiG Celebrates 70 Years of History

It was established in 1939 by Mikoyan and Gurevitch.

The first airplanes were the MiG-1 and 3 fighters.

The MiG series of fighters are still being produced, acquired and used by many nations of the world. The latest MiGs are the MiG-29K/KUB carrier based aircraft and MiG-35.

The anniversary is being celebrated in Russia only (could not find anything on Armenian news channels).

Here is a fresh video about MiG. It includes an interview with MIKHAIL BOGHOSSIAN who is now the director of the MiG company (as well as Sukhoi). The video clip is in Russian language.

Thank you for the video Zoravar. Mikhail Poghosian is truly amazing constructor who among other fighters has designed the Su-47 Berkut. Truly, the traditions Armenian constructors like Mikoyan are alive and well!
