I can't help but think, what if one of them wins... Will people be thinking, "Well of course he won." Hopefully not.

Re: Two Armenians in Cannes this year...
I just remembered that my aunt told me that she is knows Serge Avedikian. I'm not sure how well, but they know each other. According to her, he is very good friends with Atom Egoyan, so that should have provided some awkward discussions for the festival.
Anyway, Vatche Boulghourjian tied for third place with The Fifth Column. This is a list of the winners for the Cinefoundation Awards.
1st Prize: Taulukauppiatt (“The Painting Sellers”) by Juho Kuosmanen
2nd Prize: Coucou-Les-Nuages (“Anywhere Out of the World”) by Vincent Cardona
3rd Prize (tie): Hinkerort Zorasune (“The Fifth Column”) by Vatche Boulghourjian
3rd Prize (tie): Ja Vec Jesam Sve Ono Sto Zelim da Imam (“I Already Own Everything I Want to Have”) by Dane Komljen

Serge Avedikian's film is an animated film. There's a trailer on YouTube. It looks quite interesting. I hope we get a chance to see them eventually.
I don't know how she does. I was talking to her about Atom Egoyan and she said she knows someone who is friends with him. I didn't know his name until I heard about this festival. Serge Avedikian is from France and my aunt has family in France, so they've bumped into each other there a bunch of times.
