Armavia is a joke. They are under heavy debt, and close to bankruptcy. They keep cancelling and delaying their flights, everything about them is a mess. How could we get a decent airline to be our flag carrier? Will Armenia not have a national airline if Armavia goes bankrupt? When it comes to aviation, I prefer European to Russian, so I would like to see an airline based on European airlines model rather than Russian. A decent Armenian airline is crucial to connecting Armenian diaspora to Armenia.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Zvartnots airport has suspended services to Armavia air company over the latter’s debts. However, Armavia was allowed to continue September 19 flights to save passengers the inconvenience.
On the morning of September 20, Zvartnots services to Armavia were halted.
As Zvartnots press-service told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Armavia’s debt to the airport has further increased, with many previous instances of flights halted over the air company’s debts.
