We are told the Armenian translation
of the Bible is called
“the queen of translations.”
What have we learned from this “queen”
except subservience to scum?

to believing nothing we are told.

We may be smart

We enjoyed freedom of religion
in the Ottoman Empire for a very simple
and pragmatic reason:
our religion legitimizes subservience.

This has been said before
but it bears repeating.

Subservience means a willing acceptance
of our status as dedicated servants
of the Empire.

To put it more bluntly:
We provided them with sex partners
and we fought their wars of conquest.
*
In dollars and cents:
we became a nation of pimps
and hired assassins.
*
This may explain Obama’s contempt
for Armenians.
*
When Talaat sat down with Zohrab
to play tavlu,
Zohrab forgot who he was,
but Talaat never did.

For every proud Armenian,
there are probably ten or more proud Turks.
In a battle of prides,
we don't have a chance.
Which is why I prefer to identify myself
as a humble human being
that has no use for pride.

They both demand to be judged

does not apply to men of faith and ideologues,
who will tell you they may not have the answers
to such petty questions as those dealing with
the weather or the stock market,
