Hope Santa was good to you.
All the old bugger gave me
is a horrible toothache!
*
To readers who complain that I am a pessimist
and I hate Armenians, I say:
“Not true! My best-selling book
THE ARMENIANS: THEIR HISTORY & CULTURE
is full of lies!...”
*
When two gods fight,
it is the Devil who wins.”
*
Americans are bad
but the rest of the world is worse.

An Armenian disagreement is a dead end.

Re: men / beasts
Our bishops represent the Almighty, our benefactors represent another Almighty, and our bosses represent their respective little mafias. Who represents the people? The voice of the people continues to be an absent factor in our collective existence.

Re: men / beasts
There are a number of good reasons why I prefer to emphasize the negative, one of them being, the positive has been repeated and instilled in us for such a long time that we have lost all awareness of our failings. So that we see more merit in pride, arrogance, and prejudice than in humility, objectivity, and tolerance.

To Turks who like to point out the fact that
Armenians did their share of slaughtering Turks
whenever given the opportunity,
may I point out, what Armenians did to Turks
does not qualify as genocide
or even crimes against humanity
but on the contrary it happens to be a clear-cut case
of justifiable homicide which, like self-defense,
is not punishable by law.

AN ARMENIAN STORY
*********************************
Born and raised in the same neighborhood,
brainwashed by the same schoolteachers,
once upon a time we were as close as brothers.
But our friendship began to evaporate
when he acquired a wife,
produced children, and realized
there is no money in dissent
I am now his #1 enemy.
*
It can’t be easy for him to admit
he was born an idiot and he now survives
as the dupe of idiots.

VAHE OSHAGAN
*************************************
“I am ashamed to call myself an Armenian,” Vahé Oshagan is reported to have said when one of his books was given a negative reception in our weeklies. *Once upon a time I too identified myself with my fellow Armenians to such an unreasonable degree that I was embarrassed when any one of them behaved badly. I know now that Armenians, all Armenians without exception, are first and foremost individuals before being members of a tribe or nation; and as individuals, they should be judged as individuals. If an Armenian chooses to make an ass of himself in public, so be it, that is his choice, not mine or anyone else’s. If, as an individual he is free, so am I, and I freely choose not to be responsible for his actions.
