Re: i accuse
To say where there is power there will be abuse of power
is like saying where there are people
there will also be the law of gravity.

ON JUSTICE
******************************
The most important thing about a country
is not its mountains and rivers,
its history and culture,
or its music and literature,
but its administration of justice.
A country with a corrupt justice system
is hell on earth and as such,
not fit for human consumption.

Re: i accuse
Our leaders tell us we are in good hands even as they depopulate the Homeland and alienate the majority in the Diaspora.

Those who declare wars have a better chance to survive them than those who do the actual fighting.

In the Decalogue of our leadership
there is only one commandment repeated ten times:
“Thou shalt not assume responsibility.”

If I repeat myself it may be because I hope to have better luck with the next generation. Call me an optimist. In this line of work you have to be a little crazy to carry on.

I ACCUSE
**************************
Our greatest enemies
are neither Turks nor Russians.
Our most dangerous enemies
are our dividers.
*
Armenian solidarity has this in common
with the weather: everybody talks about it
but nobody does a damn thing.
*
What can we do?
You can withdraw your support
from individuals and groups
that promote and legitimize divisions
on the grounds they know better.
*
The truth is, they know nothing!
And not only are they guilty
of compromising our survival
but they are also habitual
and compulsive liars..
*
They have this in common
with the Taliban and ISIS:
they may speak in the name of God
but it is the Devil’s work that they do.
