fighting is pretty much being able to dodge and hit. Chinese developed the best way to move your body, the understood the scientific qualities of strength and movement. When you look at things like who will Tai Chi vs mike tyson thats ridiculous. Tai Chi, and Chi Kung are the spiritual aspects of the body. Fighting is once again doing the best possible movement in any given situation, involving getting hurt or hurting others. Ju jitsu being submission moves, boxing being knockouts, etc etc. I beleive thers a way for any style to beat any other style. As for muay thai, isnt that jamaican dance fighting, come on dont make me laugh.

The best martial arts is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu . I challenge any man or women on this message board to a no holds barred street fight to prove my style is superior. I live in the Southern California area. Pick any social setting a club, elevator, phone booth, the beach etc...and I will meet you there. Until then practice your katas and punching the air. I'll practice a real self-defense system.

clubbin714 have you used your fighting system against a group of people or 1 on 1? Grappling is extremely effective when its a 1 on 1 situation (most 1 on 1 fights end up on the ground anyway) How is the your techinque used against a group?

          Armenian martial arts

I've been searching for martial arts to learn when i discovered that they were not exclusive to the far east. I then decided to see if there was an armenian one. After many hours i came across a name after manymore hours thats still what i had just a name : Hayaren Martig (Armenian Death, Tiger Dance). Anyone know anything more about it or even where i could train.
          Thanks

"There is this so-called "Martarvest" too. Which has the legendary "tiger dance". This includes almost all the self-diffence movements and is very fun to learn."

I researched this and came up with the name hayaren martig. Anyone know anymore or where to train.
            Thanks

If you live in S. California, and close enought to either North Hollywood or Glendale, I'd recommend you check out Glendale Fighting Club or Hayastan Gym which is run by Gokor Chivichyan. He is a legend in the world of martial arts.

Thanks for the where to train. But is there an actual instructor of hayaren martig the single martial art or is it an extinct martial art.

No clue, never heard of it before. You could contact one of those gyms above and ask someone there, maybe they know. If you are looking to train in self defense I would not try to learn the martig style, it sounds like it is not very effective in real world situations. Try to learn Sambo, Krav Maga, or Sanshou. All were developed to train the military in hand to hand, and weapon fighting. Sambo also includes some grappling as well.
