Armenian Marriage Age

Does anyone know what the average age for a male getting married in post soviet Armenia is? And how old is the female on average?

I know they mostly marry very young in Armenia. I would say the girls would be around 18 to 21 and the guys 21 to 25. But then I could be wrong. Why are you thinking of getting married?

Thanks. And no, it's for a story I'm writing, I needed to know about how old one of my charcaters would be when he got married. The ages actually aren't that different than what you'd expect here.

For males, it was usually right before or right after they went into service.

They are 18 years old. I'm positive they are 18.

when i was there peopel married early. it was rather a reaction to the restricted marital atmosphere during soviet times. plus these is no oddyseys of careers. women dont have to make a hard choice between "having a baby" and "persuing finances.
the service recall is two seasons fall and spring, so if ur born in november. they might send you when ur 17.

nay, the factories are there.but they are deserted.

I always thought they were engaged before/after they got back from service...
