        First of all, welcome.

Second of all, that could be because there is both a General Talk section and a General Armenian Talk section.

Or perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying?

Michael means Jesus? learn something new everyday...

And what exactly is classical Armenian? Is that another way of saying "Eastern?" cause the only two dialects I know of are the Eastern and Western... and that funky one they use in church...

Sounds strange indeed that she would be speaking classical Armenian as her native tongue... Classical is the Armenian Mashtots was writing in; the language of the church and old literature. It's a dead language, like Latin and Classical Greek.
Maybe she meant "standard" Armenian. I would guess she's probably from Armenia, where she learned to speak "proper" Armenian (like BBC English), as opposed to "dialectal".

Sorry, let me clear something up here. Yes, she actually meant she spoke proper Armenian (like BBC English), not Grapar. I am working on extending he vocabulary.

HayQ... No, sorry, I am English, Catholic.

I promise, we shall overcome the language thing, but it seems Armenian is now diluted into so many different translations, i find it hard to decide which to learn first.

She asks often if I learn words from American Armenian.

There is no American Armenian. It is either Western or Eastern. I suggest Eastern Armenian, because it is awesome.
