You guys are cute lol Avatars are fun!

ARAM, I knew that was your question before I even saw the word "Armenian" lol Dont worry about that, just be a good member.

If you dont mind us wondering, what are you then, since you argued when you were called a Turk?

I just like the name ARAM..it sounds nice..
and yes I did give this name to my son..
It doesn't matter where you're from.

My point is when someone says he is from Turkey he is thought to be Turkish...That is not true..If you look at Turkey's ethnic figures almost half is not actually Turkish..anyway I am half turkish half kurdish..but for me my ethnic roots really dont matter that much..I am not racist at all..
But first and most of all and maybe most of you might be wondering about this;I read about the history a lot and I can tell that it is a tragedy that Armenians have been wiped off the current Turkey during WW1..It is a big tragedy which should have never happened..I am thinking if that many of Armenian people (1 -1,5 million) have not been destroyed at that time, there would be almost 7-8 million of Armenians in Turkey at the present..

Now I know that you are not A) Blind, because you saw what he told us. And B)Perceptive, because you have to see where it goes.

Nothing goes nowhere do you understand?

Welcome Aram and what a nice story about naming your son and your discovery/realization concerning Armenians. Most Turks have been blinded by the rhetoric and what they have been taught since childhood regarding Armenians - but many still understand that Armenians are not at all as they have been portrayed by the Turkish Government. I think your perspective on this would be most beneficial to everyone here and I encourage you to post more about your experiences and how you came to your understanding/appreciation of Armenians.

                      Winoman,
Anatolia (this is a greek name in origin) or the current Turkey has been home to many nations and ethnic people for a long time.If I start with Byzantium..Then there were Turks..The falling of Constantinapole to the hands of Turks..Ottomans..But all through this time there were lots of different nationalities in Anatolia actually..Kurds,Turks, Armenians, Arabic people,Greeks, Pontians and Laz people and Caucasian people and so on..I think we should all appreciate this richness ..
In Turkey there are people who know this and who appreciate this but it is hard to speak about it..State pressure, lack of human rights and so on..Everybody knows..
Turkish government..who cares about them..for years they told Kurds were actually Turks..so funny..
People who wanted to see the truth and realities always found the way to find more information about things which states have always tried to keep secret or under pressure..
