Fast For Armenia and Wristbands

if you're referring to the colors of the wristbands, they also come in all black.

do i have to ship them???? do u guys know anywhere in lebanon where they sell them? like the bible bookshops and stuff?

All the wristbands that say "remember the forgotten" on them are ordered by the Stanford Armenian Students Assoc. and spread around the US to be sold for our Fast for Armenia org.


However, this organization is still very new and we havent really spread outside of the US and Canada. (but i'm going to try to see if we can ship the wristbands outside of the country.) I'll let you know.

Ok, for the international people, yes if you order from the website we would ship it (it might cost a little more).

I realized that a lot of the orders came from people on different forums I advertised on. So this is kind of cool.

I mean, I dont know. Even if you're against the whole wristband thing, just think of it as a donation. Also, if you dontate without requesting wristbands, the donation is tax deductible.

So please guys, just think. $10 dollars will support one student there for a whole year (as far as textbooks go). That's like one trip to starbucks for us.

I think I am going to end up with 5 wrist bands on each arm. I guess my bf will wear one too, so that leaves about 9 for me. Too bad they won't get here until after April 24. I remember whe we went to Armenia and made a donation to the school we visited, just so the kids could have necessities thhat we take for granted every single day. I swear we fell in love with those kids, they were so wonderful and smart and funny and just so happy with everything they had, little as it was. I'm glad you guys are doing this. Every day something that people my age are doing to help other Armenians in Armenia and around the world just makes me feel so much pride (even more than I already have) to be Armenian and to see that we're not all just talk, but action as well. Thanks for that.

i totally agree and feel the same way. i mean, we have all of these armenian fundraisers we see on tv. but i dont trust a lot of them. being a part of this one makes me proud because i know where the money is going and how much these kids need it. i mean, if all goes well, the next step for me is to try to get kids to apply to universities in the US directly from Armenia. but i guess we gotta start somewhere and so far this is the best way.


also, i know that the 10 wristband minimum may be a hastle, but we figured people could just get them and give them out to friends or something.

Better check with your shipping company too, deb. I work for a company that does a lot of mail orders all over the world, and there are many countries we can't ship to through UPS/FedEx, etc (due to there almost being a guarantee of it being stolen/damaged/lost), and I think Lebanon is one of them.

Oh, and watch what you say about those fund raisers! I brought up the same questions, and got bombarded with remarks like "if you don't want to donate, just say so. Don't make excuses". Brilliant! You freaking tools of the conartist.

Ummm....odd problem while ordering. While I was in the middle of checkout, I see my little window thingy pop up to alert me of an e-mail. It was for a receipt from Fast For Armenia. =| But....I hadn't purchased it, yet. I went ahead and finished up the transaction, anyway. I got a receipt from PayPal, but haven't gotten another Fast For Armenia e-mail confirming the order went through. What the holy shnikes happened?
