  • why isnt the folksdance popular among the youngsters in europe

    whati noticed when i go to armenian parties the youngesters dont really !do the folklore circel dance! its a such a pitty! coz i always think that we the young ones must keep the history and culture alive!i read that most posters here live in the US! how are the armenian parties there?

    how is it in armenia doe youngster dance the folklore dance?

    Well, while it's true we didn't dance to 100s years old folk music, we did dance a lot to modern Armenian dance songs. To me personally, Armenian folk music is much more filled with songs of sadness, songs of exile from one's land, etc. Not that many good dance songs really. I could be wrong though.

      The youth still dance the "shoorchbar" at Armenian parties here in Los Angeles...
