although, in the end I wish there were shadows of famous Armenians in Armenia. I really do feel jealous that Turks can celebrate a shadow of Ataturk in july and all Armenians get to celebrate are Christmas, and National womens day. (March 8, which was yesterday. Shnorhavor lini dzer don' aghchikner.) And other Christian holidays. But no shadows, nope, no famous shadows going on in Armenia.

Poop to National Women's Day. Azerbaijan celebrates the same holiday and knowing how much Azerbaijanis like to embellish things, it's probably more festive there.

A silhouette / shadow which resembles Atatürk appears on the plains during that period and that event / phenomenon is celebrated as a festival called "Atatürk'ün izinde-gölgesinde Damal şenlikleri".
