Today the Armenian Carthage is Glendale, but what about the "lost" communities of Poland, the Balkans and the Crimea? I know Anonymouse knows a bit about this. I was Wikipedia-surfing and I found an article on a city in Romania known as Gherla and it piqued my interest. This city used to be called Hayakaghak and even had an Armenian cathedral. There is also the town of Armyansk in the Crimea. I assume the Armenians in these communities assimilated as that city in Romania is now "ethnically" 80% Romanian and 17% Hungarian.

There was never a diaspora living there, the city was named that in honor of the Armenians that fell in the genocide by catholic nuns.
